A couple of years had come and gone since I've spoken or seen Herman and Happy. Since then I've moved from Tacoma to try and escape the memories and I headed to charming where I hoped to start fresh and new with no bad memories.

Little did I know I was about to face my past.

I opened a little boutique shop and so far business has been doing splendidly.

It was there that a met a few people that were linked to some motorcycle club that's apparently the mother of the rest.

I was set to meet up with Lyla and Gemma for some brunch since I had been so busy these last couple of weeks I couldn't come to dinner at Gemma's to fully meet the rest of their family and friends.

I walked in and greeted them both before taking a seat in the booth.

"I know this was suppose to be our catchign up and all but my son and Lyla's husband is comign to join along with two other guys" Gemma explains

"Thats fine" I tell her as I make sure to sit at the end of the booth so should I need to leave or something happens I can get out with out trampling or waiting for them to move.

"Great. I've taken the liberty of ordering Dr.pepper since you claim the sweet tea isn't southern enough for you" Gemma says

"There is only one way to have sweet tea and its not with just a cup of sugar where it might as well be unsweet tea. You practically have to empty the sugar contained in the tea for it to be considered sweet tea" I replied

Gemma made a scartic comment and we all laughed.

"Holy shit."

I stopped laughing and looked up seeing my past standing right before my very eyes.

"Glad you boys could make it on time for once," Gemma says as they slid into the booth leaving Happy to the seat across from me.

"We managed to clean up the garage before closing it for the day" a long blonde haired guy says

"Well allow me to introduce you to a great friend of mine. Lailah this is my son Jax, his best friend Opie who is Lyla's husband. And their coworkers and friends Herman and Happy" she says

I refrain from making any comment about Herma and Happy. Just put a smile on my face.

"Howdy guys" I greet

Jax and Opie look at me weirdly.

"What ain't you boys ever heard southern talk?" I asked

"No we haven't," Opie says

"Well you'll be hearing much of it with me around," I tell him

"Should be interesting hearing your kind of talk" Jax says

"Like it's gonna be hearing yours. I mean you do say darling as we southerners do in greeting. But your no southerner" I say

"Does that offend you?"

I shook my head

"Not at all sugar."

After the drinks came and the food orders were taken we all got into a conversation about different things. I played it off that I had no idea who Happy and Herman was the whole time they was there.
