I nodded at the bartender as I grabbed my beer. "On the house." He smiled in a tightly fit Adler Grandma t shirt. "Great goal tonight."

"Thanks, man." I smiled and turned on my heel to take in the atmosphere of the crowded bar. We were all still on a high from the game. I don't think I have ever heard this place this loud before. We beat our biggest rivals, Kellerman College in a blowout, 5-0. It was one of those games where everyone was firing on full cylinders. I scored the early goal and my teammates were soon to follow. Even Johnny, a defender got a goal tonight. A little hero worship for him tonight might get the stick out of his butt about Lara Jean. He was being pleasant enough, but I knew it bothered him more than he let on.

I scanned the bar for my friends and found them surrounded by a crowd of girls. I don't know what it is about winning a game, but nothing makes a girl hotter for you. I'm glad my guys would be enjoying themselves tonight. I just wish Lara Jean was here so I could enjoy it with her. I never felt needy or clingy in my relationship with Gen, but with Lara Jean I wanted to be around her all the time. When we were apart, I was just thinking about being with her.

"Hey all-star." A sultry voice beckoned from behind me. All-star was LJ's newest nickname for me. She jokingly called me that when I was complaining about going to practice instead of staying in bed with her. I said joked it was hot when she said it. She started to sing the Smash Mouth song to make it unsexy, but everything about her did it for me. Now, she was my angel and I was her all-star.

I turned thinking she would be standing behind me, but it wasn't her. A pretty blonde girl stood behind me like she was on a mission. Her tank top was tight with her bra fully visible and tucked into skin tight jeans. There was no denying she was hot as hell. "Oh, sorry. I thought you were someone else." I quickly looked away. I don't think LJ would ever be mad if I had a friendly conversation with someone else, but I didn't want to give this girl any ideas.

"Well, what if I was looking for you?" She leaned into one hip and ran her hand through her bouncy hair. Her eyes scanned me up and down, making me feel slightly uncomfortable.

It took me a moment to realize. Oh, she was hitting on me. Not that this never happened before, but it was the first time since I started seeing Lara Jean. I'm sure most people didn't know about us. We've been so happy in our little bubble with our close friends that I forgot that some people probably still think I just broke up with Gen. I hope Lara Jean doesn't think I'm ashamed of her or anything. I just genuinely hadn't thought to broadcast it. LJ wasn't the type to tell strangers about her private life and didn't run in the usual Greek row crowd. It's no wonder the girl standing in front of me didn't know. "That's really nice of you. And you are drop dead stunning and all, but I'm seeing someone."

"I thought you broke up with Gen." she popped a bubble in her cheek and put her hands on her hips.

"I did." I nodded and looked to see if anyone I knew was around. "But I'm seeing someone new."

"Well that was fast." She scoffed. Sassiness. I like it. I knew what to do the moment I saw Greg coming towards me. Greg was a freshman but huge and muscular. I'm pretty sure any person attracted to dudes with eyes would be attracted to him.

"Hey Greggy!" I yelled him over. He stood next to me and nodded at the blonde. "This is..." I completely forgot her name. Wait? Did she even tell me her name?

"Chelsea." She licked her lips and scanned his body. Subtlety was not this girl's style.

"Greg." He put his hand out. Greg was an undercover dork. He told us on one drunken night during summer training that he had only kissed a girl for the first time when he got to school here. This girl could eat him alive. But maybe that's what he needed.
