viii. but I can't have you, we're bound to break and my hands are tied

THE FOUR SAT IN A PUB IN KRIBISK, Kaz off somewhere else doing Saints knows what.

The crowd cheered as they watched a show that sine performers were putting on whilst they ate, replenishing themselves after the journey.

"So, that went well," Jesper said, taking a sip from his alcohol.

"The Little Palace winter fete," Arken said, placing a pamphlet for the event on the bar that they were sitting at, "But there's no way he can find a way to the Sun Summoner without Nina,"

"We're in luck," Kaz said as he approached from behind, "Theres a good chance we can crack on. Now that we're three days travel from the capital, the next play is finding a way into the little Palace,"

Aurora was tired, everything Kaz was saying not meaning much. She didn't know how he looked just as tired as them whilst still being so brilliant.

"It turns our that the Kribirsk archives house the Little Palace blueprints," he explained, "But they're kept under lock and key, far from prying eyes,"

"What does that mean?" The Conductor questioned, a worried tone to his voice.

"Time for a heist," Jesper said, patting Arken on the shoulder.

Jesper left the goat in Kribirsk before they left, leaving Arken to find a way to get to the Little Palace.

Kaz was going to pose as a rich man along with his handmaiden played by Aurora for the Archives Heist, this would allow them to bypass the guards who were on guard around the clock.

Inej was going to break in through the doke on the roof which is directly above the repository where the blueprints to the Little Palace are kept.

The two walked in, Aurora putting on a timid face, "I introduce Ivanovski, the sculptor," she said, holding her arms out as Kaz approached.

The man behind the desk eyed Aurora, "I am in desperate need of your assistance," Kaz said, posing as Ivanovski, "I'm working on a real show stopper for the winter fete,"

The man muttered under his breath how much he hated the fete, "I have to pull the blueprints every day," he said before walking off.

Aurora bent down, managing to get the phosphorus depository on the bottom of the mans shoe so it left a trail to the room.

They knew that the door had a two key locking mechanism so Inej would have to leave the way she came in.

When the man came back, he handed Aurora the paper, "Dimensions to the Little Palace," he said.

She bowed slightly, "Thank you, may the Sun Summoner bless you," she said, a grateful look on her face.

"I'm not a believer," the man said, shaking his head at them.
