"HERES THE PLAN," KAZ SAID AS HE stood around the table with them, leaning against it, "I will walk the route fromm the ballroom to the dinner event to find an ambush point,"
"You should have one of us with you," Aurora stated, wanting him to be okay.
"I'll manage," he said, his tone of voice irritated. When he saw the annoyed expression on her face, his voice softened, "You and Inej can't blow your cover this early and Jesper needs to plot out escape route,"
She nodded her head, ever since she had sung that song, it seemed like she had let a weight from her past off of her shoulder.
"There is a gap in the schedule between events so they may place her in a room here away from the crowd, somewhere safe," Kaz explained.
"That would be where they felt she was most protected and therefore, the best place to grab her," Aurora finished for him, a smile on her face.
"We just need a way in, and have someone ready with a distraction to give us cover on our way out," he continued, sparing one glance to Aurora before focusing on everyone else again, "That's where we grab her,"
So they disbanded, Kaz leaving to steal a guards uniform whilst the others went to the carriage to meet with Marko
Aurora stood by the carriage with Inej, Jesper and Arken as a soldier checked over their paperwork, making sure it was legal.
The man handed it back before looking at the crew, "It allows you access to the grounds, the main ballroom and nowhere else, you are being employed by the Queen, you are not her guests. No guns, no knives, no weapons of any kind,"
They nodded their heads that they agreed before a fight broke out behind them, a man being pulled out from below a carriage as he was trying to smuggle himself inside.
"The Sun Summoner, I just want to see her!" The man exclaimed before being arrested and thrown away.
Aurora eyed Kaz in his guards uniform before she got onto the carriage, entering the Little Palace.

KAZ PATROLLED THE WALLS, LOOKING around for anything. But as Kaz looked for the ambush point, he collapsed against a wall, clutching his leg and breathing heavily as a jolt of pain shot through it.
