I looked over at Mikaela as she waited on ma answer.

"Yeah, I'll do it witchu" I said to her.

She looked at me like she was a little surprised.

"Great. I'll call Dr.Sidwell to schedule everything" she said back

"Coo. Imma go make somethin ta eat," I told her as I got up off da couch and headed fa da kitchen.

I sighed to ma self. I honestly ain't want ta do therapy, but it was da least I could do fa Mikaela.

Two days later
Mikaela

"And I also got you some of those glade scented candles you love so much," Dawn said as she unpacked the care package she had brought over for me

I looked over all the food items and products. Dawn really knew me and had bought literally everything that I liked.

I gave her a soft smile, " Thanks D. I appreciate all of this"

She fanned me off, " naww girl. No thanks needed."

The doorbell went off at that.

"That must be Dr. Sid," I said glancing at the direction of the door"

"Then that's my queue to get the hell out," Dawn said jokingly. I hugged her before walking her to the door

I opened the front door to see my childhood therapist standing there, looking not a day older than I last saw her.

"Dr. Sid," I said after Dawn said a quick hello and left.

"Miky my dear," she said back as she gave me a warm hug.

Dr. Sidwell and I had grown close after the 4 years of sessions we had.

"Come on in. August should be joining us soon, went to take a shower a while ago" I told her as we walked into the living room

"No problem. I'll get organized while we wait" she told me as she unzipped her laptop bag and placed it on the table.

As I brought over the cup of coffee I had prepared for Dr Sid, I saw August strolling down the stairs.

"And you must be August," Dr Sidwell said when he came into her view.

"Yeah I am. Nice ta meet you," he said lowly as she shook his hand

"Same. So are we all ready to start?" She questioned taking the coffee mug from my hand

I looked at August as he nodded slightly

As we sat and settled in, Dr Sidwell spoke

"Okay. So just for a formal intro my name is Dr Janice Sidwell. I'm an occupational therapist specialising in childhood therapy, however given the circumstances and the person, I didn't think twice about coming here to help you and Mikaela" she said as she gave me a small smile

I returned the smile to her.

"So, I know there are two of you but I'm gonna try to approach this one by one. I want to hear each of you. That is individual thoughts, sentiments but you're each gonna talk to me with the other person here. Miky, I'll start with you" she said as I nodded in understanding

"So these first few sessions are all you....anything that comes to mind right now? " She asked

I knew this tell-tale technique all too well.
She just wanted to find out your train of thought to understand what was bothering you
