~~ A few days ago ~~

"Are you paying attention, Hawks?" A raspy voice caught the Winged Hero's attention. He blinked and then smiled a little guiltily at his patchwork buddy, keenly aware of Dabi's mood.

"Sorry Dabs, the day has just been getting to me. No rest for the wicked, eh?" He joked, nudging his partner's arm with his elbow. Dabi huffed in annoyance and his heart thudded with anticipation in his chest as he watched the staples on his face pull. His mouth was a grim line, and in response, Keigo fought hard to keep his grimace under wraps. Of all style choices to go with, he had to choose the one that physically pushed boundaries.

Dabi rolled his eyes and sighed softly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Just to be clear, you want this Nomu to attack those pathetic Yakuza, correct?" He snorted, shaking his head. "If I didn't know any better, I would think you're trying to convert me to heroism, Hawks. It'll take a little more than controlled chaos to make me think otherwise." He perked up at this, a sudden realisation occurring to him as Dabi spoke. By no means was Dabi not guilty of some horrific crimes and murders, but what was different about him was the fact that he had a direction, and followed it with no deviation. Even if his idol was the Hero Killer, he had an ideal and stuck with it. Even with some heroes, that was a rare trait to find. It occurred to Keigo that Dabi could potentially become a hero, and he wanted to see how much he could push it.

He made a show as if he were pondering, and then snapped his fingers. "Would it be so bad to join me in kicking ass? What would change your mind, I'm curious." Dabi's cerulean eyes cut across and met with curious amber eyes, and held them for a long while. Eventually he turned and faced Keigo, who's heart began to pound in his chest. This was more than he was hoping for, he was actually about to get a response.

"What would change my mind?" he asked as though it were a rhetorical question. He chuckled lowly, and his blue eyes flashed dangerously. Keigo knew he was, at this point, dancing raucously on thin ice, but still he nodded, fighting hard to suppress a nervous gulp. "If you found me someone who was just as devoted to their cause as me, nay, more so, then maybe I would reconsider my alignment with the League of Villains." He pressed his hand into his face and began to laugh again, as though this were one big joke.

"Aw, am I not reason enough Dabs?" His stapled friend seem to prickle at the name, but it only served to cause more enjoyment for Keigo.

"I question your own devotion, because you choose to align yourself with our league willingly. Unless you have something to confess, little bird?" Dabi questioned smoothly, raising an eyebrow easily as his sour mood slowly began to cool into something more manageable. The worst had passed, and Keigo grinned cheekily again.

"Nope," he claimed, popping the 'p' while settling his hands behind his head, "you got me there!" He laughed and raised his hands in defeat, and despite himself, Dabi smirked at his winged accomplice.

"If you can bring them by Sunday to the Roiler restaurant, I'll be even more surprised. I'll text you the details as to what time. Until then, Hawks." He turned around and walked into the alley, the shadows overtaking his frame and rendering him invisible. Keigo flexed his wings and took off into the sky, now thinking over his words.

This was serious. Dabi was actually considering switching. He even had a meeting place in mind; he was always a bit of a loose cannon, so that detail there was enough to show that he had actually thought this over. This meant, however, that Keigo was about to be forced into long hours of research, deciding which hero was capable of shifting the cold fire-users heart.

When he arrived in his penthouse, he sat down at his desk and flipped open the laptop and began to hurriedly type in things into the search box. Multiple videos of people like All Might popped up, but Keigo knew without a doubt that Dabi had no want to meet with the number one hero. That choice was too obvious, and too dangerous. He scrolled through, his amber eyes reddening with the amount of time they spent glued to the screen, and eventually he huffed and got up. He popped open the fridge and brought a bucket of fried chicken with him back into the room, where he sat down and muttered in discomfort.

His eyes caught on a link. A catching headline titled "Is the Sun Keeper our new light at the end of the tunnel?" Naturally, his curiosity was peaked and he clicked on the link, which transported him to a news site that covered an article on the Sun Keeper. A woman with a braided crown of auburn hair and rich golden-hazel eyes smiled charmingly into the camera. They speculated her name, her origin story, but even her own quotes were laced with mystery. 'I feel as though where I came from has no significance at this point in my life. All that matters is that I am here now, and ready to fight to secure a safe and stable future.' Without realising it, a smile had crawled over his face as he read through her accomplishments, and every now and then they placed a picture of her to refresh his mind. Even the videos of her were outstanding, her fiery wings tearing through the sky, her face lined with determination as she chased her foes and brought them down, and cheers around her exploded as she stood tall, flames cloaking her in glory.

They spoke more about her quirk, Phoenix, and described how she used it in battle, but he paid no attention to that. He knew that he found the person he needed to convince Dabi.

But how was he going to convince her?
