Everything Has Changed

... Suddenly in the middle of the night, while they were both sleeping peacefully Joe started moving around. He was mumbling something and he looked upset in his sleep. That's when he screams NO...TAYLOR !. and stands up!
Taylor wakes up from his screams abruptly and watches Joe trying to catch his breath. She hugs him immediately and tries to calm him down. She caresses his back and his chest, and he hugs her really tight while he's whispering her name constantly.

"Sshhh babe... It was just a nightmare... Everything is fine" she says and kisses his Temple

"Taylor, Taylor Babe..." he said with a scared face.

"Everything is fine, I'm here...it was just a nightmare which has gone now..." she whispers

"It was so scary and it looked so real..."

"Do you want to tell me the dream? It may help you feel better" she says

'N-No, no no! I can't..."he says

"Ssshhh...lay your back on the bed and I'll hug you tightly" she says and that's what he does. He lays on the bed and she wraps her arms around his body. He doesn't move or shows a feeling. He tries so hard not to look vulnerable in front of her. What he had just done was so embarrassing. He was acting like a baby in front of her instead of being manful. Fuck. Now she thinks that I'm a coward. Good job Joe. He thought. He looks at her and pushes her body gently away from his.

"What are you doing?" she asks calmly

"I'm fine. It was just a nightmare. You don't have to treat me like a mom. I'm a man, I know how to handle it" he says

"But one minute ago you were so upset of that dream..." she says

"Now I'm fine. Can you stop hugging me?" he says dry

"No I can't. I hug you because I want to touch you and feel your warm body" she says

"No you're doing it because you think I'm scared but I'm not." he says in the same tone

"Joe shut the fuck up and let me hug you. It helps me sleep" she says

"No. You shut the fuck up and leave me alone. You're not my mom" he says

"No, but I'm your girlfriend I want to hug you" she says

"Yes I don't want to!" he says

"Why are you making it such a big deal for just a hug?!" she says

"Because I'm not a coward! I'm a man! A gallant man! I don't need hugs" he says but not whispering anymore

"You know what...you're right" she gets up from the bed "You're a big man and you can sleep alone" she says, takes a blanket from her drawer and gets out of the room

"Where are you going?" he asks

"Sleep with my ass and only that on the couch. Goodnight Mr mature man" she says from downstairs. Joe doesn't say anything in response. He fucked up everything once again in his life and now relationship with Taylor. He pissed her off and now she went to sleep on the couch. Alone. Without him being next to her. He sighs to his stupidity and tries to find a comfortable position to sleep.

Taylor on the other hand, she lays on the couch and covers her body with the blanket. Then she takes her phone in her hands to check her notifications and emails. After it, she places her phone to the little table next to the couch and finds a comfortable position. She's lost in her million thoughts again.
Why did he do that? Does he not love me actually? It was just a nightmare, everybody has nightmare in their sleep. He didn't have to show me he's brave or to show that he is the man. I know better than anyone what he actually is. He protected me 2 times from Adam's nails! But again that doesn't mean you can't have weaknesses. Everybody has one. He didn't have to show me that he's brave by not letting me hug him. It made me question myself if he loves me. But...I'll make him suffer the next days for doing that. He'll pay for it
She thought and an evil grin appeared in her lips when suddenly she heard some footsteps from the stairs. She closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. Joe approached the couch where she was laying.
