"Where are we going?" I ask Ryder. I sit in his cars' seat and look out the window. It's pretty dark now as we zoom past many houses where people are quietly settled in and small lights are projected into the world. I push back my strands of blonde hair behind my ears and try to maintain my nerves.

"It's for me to know and you to find out," he smirks. I roll my eyes to the most clichè line.

"Come on, baby, why can't you tell me?" I ask.

"Then what's the fun of being surprised? We're here anyways," he says as he pulls into an empty parking space. My eyebrows furrow as I try to pick up where we are. It's still unknown to me since I'm pretty new but I look around and see emerald trees shining against the moon's luminescence. A vast lake crosses in front of me and I see swans and ducks hustling to get back home to sleep.

"Where are we?" I ask as I take in my surroundings.

"This is where I go when I just want to think. I usually climb that and just sit for hours," he says as he points to a tall and colourful tree. My eyebrows raise as he slips his hand into mine. I feel my stomach swirl with butterflies but I shrug it off as I should get used to it. He guides me through the grass until we're at the bottom of the tree where he usually climbs. "Come on," he says as he tugs my hand.

"Wait, we're climbing that?" I shriek. He shrugs and my eyes widen. No way in hell I'm climbing that! He can kill me first and throw me up there. "Come on, babe, there's a bench over there near the lake, can't we sit there?" I ask and he sighs, giving into my pleas.

Sitting on the bench, I stare at the beauty of the large lake. There's a little island in the middle where most birds lay to sleep and to be protected from the predators at night. "So what do you think?" He asks and turns to me.

"I think it's beautiful. Thanks for taking me some place that's special to you," I smile. I don't know how it happened but I don't feel the hatred or burning jealousy coursing through my veins anymore. I feel happy, somehow? Before I would be scattering to be that independent and strong woman to keep her walls up so no one can hurt her but now, with Ryder, he taught me to pull my walls down once in a while and it's okay to feel.

"Yeah, I thought it'll be better. If you want, it could be our place?" He asks as he looks at me with hopeful eyes. My eyes widen, eyebrows lifting and a smile erupts onto my lips. I nod frantically and wrap my arms around him in a tight and breathtaking hug.

"I'll love that," I mumble against his chest.

"So tell me about your life, baby," I ask. He flinches slightly and takes a deep breath.

"What's there to know?" He asks, shrugging.

"Everything," I respond.

"Uhm, well, my mother died when I was young and my father remarried. She's a complete b*tch, you know? I like boxing, always wanted to be a famous boxer one day and I love pizza," he explains and I smile. "What about you, love?" He says.

"Uhm, my father walked out on us when I was young and my mother remarried this guy named Adam. I also like boxing along with cheerleading and I always wanted to become a model for Victoria Secret," I say, shrugging. I love how we're comfortable enough to share small aspects of our life. It wasn't much but it was enough to start with. It's the basics.

"I can see you as a model," he smirks as he wraps his arm around my shoulders and drags me into his side. I look up at him and cock an eyebrow.

"How so?" I laugh lightly.

"I mean, you have the body that most girls would die for," he whispers against my ear. Goosebumps erupt on my skin, a weird feelings blossoming in my stomach and a small smile tugs onto my lips. His finger pushes a strand of hair behind my ear and I fall captive into his touch, like truly.

"Oh, is that so?" I say as I look between his eyes and lips. The lips I desperately want to kiss. He looks all too good with his black hair slicked back and his pale green eyes piercing through my mine. I wanted his lips.

"Can I kiss you?" He whispers. By then he's so close to me, our noses inches apart and I nod. His hand snakes its way onto the back onto my neck and pulls me forward. Our lips smash against one another and my breath is caught with the sudden contact but I fall captive to his loving taste. Our lips are sync with one another and I can feel things I never have before. As this is my first kiss, I know I would never forget it. Especially since it's with Ryder Carter.

I guess I fell for the bad boy.
