+ Rain +

Last night was a blur, i remember closing the door right after and running towards William who pressed his hand on his scar.

He stood up and told me to look for his medical stuff up in his room while he checked up on Mother.

William cleaned up his scar and said he would go looking for Father.

I stayed with mother to help her recover. And that's all I recall.

It had been raining all day, "It's alright sweetheart" Comforted mother, she rubbed her hand on my back wile hugging me as I cried.

"Why couldn't he understand?" I sobbed. "Why can't he respect my opinion?"

Father was still nowhere to be seen and William hadn't returned since last night.

She sighed "I will speak to him about it once we find him. He wasn't in his right state of mind but what he did wasn't okay." She placed her head on Top of mine.

I hugged her. Her warmth making me feel loved, and safe but it didn't feel the same as when he hugged me."

She grabbed my face and looked and me with a comforting smile. "Okay now let's stop the tears." She wiped my tears away.

I smiled at her. She hugged me one last time and stood up to leave. Before she left she turned to face me. "Veronica?"

"Yes?" I replied my eyes still swore from crying.

"Promise me you will keep standing up for yourself just like you did to your father."

I nodded, she smiled and walked out of my bedroom slowly closing the door behind her.

I laid down on my bed. I didn't feel like changing into my night clothes. I looked at the lighted candle the smell of flowers reminded me of someone.
Viscount...

Memories of him projecting in my head. With him I felt happy.

He made me feel unique. He made me feel some sort of way.

"Veronica?" Said a voice from outside my bedroom, bringing me back to reality. "May i come in?" They asked.

"Yeah..." the door quietly slid open. William came inside.

"You are back" I said standing up.

"Yeah."

"How's father?" I asked.

"We found him blacked out in the woods. He's back home now."

I nodded my head.

"I'm sorry. I didn't think he would've reacted that way." He apologized. "I shouldn't have reacted that way either knowing that he wasn't in his right mindset."

"You were trying to protect us. You have nothing to apologize for."

"None of this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't encouraged you to talk to him."
