+ Daisy +

Last night after we came from the woods was horrible.

Yes father had apologized for his actions but nothing changed. Mother could change his mind about the arranged marriage.

Father got mad at William and I saying "You should know better. And William you are leaving first thing in the morning."

He is an awful dramatic, Now I'm laying in my bed as the morning sun shines through my curtains.

Knowing that my brother is most likely on his way to meet the ship that will be sending him back to Australia.

I'm definitely writing to William. Mother wasn't aware of what father did and said to William. I was pretty sure he had made up a story so that mother wouldn't ask any questions.

I can't believe I only had about a day with my brother. I don't even see him that often.

There was a knock on my door, I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone.

"Vonnie" I sat up was that actually William or was It just my Mind playing tricks on me.

The door opened slowly and William's face popped inside.

Yup it definitely wasn't my mind. I pulled my bed sheets off and ran towards him.

"I thought you had left by now" I said sighing in relief that my brother wasn't gone.

"Yeah well I've talked to mother this morning's and told her about yesterday." He spoke, as he hugged me tight.

"What did mother do?"

"She heard everything last night. She was upset with me for not coming home before curfew. This morning she came into my room and I told her everything she was understanding and said I didn't have to leave."

"Thank goodness." I sighed and finally broke the hug.

"You should definitely get ready soon. Breakfast is just twenty minutes away." He commented looking at the clock and giving me a small smile.

He closed the door behind him, his steps faded away as he walked further from my room.

______

Cold silence filled the room, no one wanted to speak. I was fine with it, as long as I didn't hear Fathers annoying voice.

"Mhm." He cleared his throat. Gosh he wanted to say something.

"I've received a letter from finishing school..." I looked up at him at once, he didn't look at me.

I turned to William and Mother, they were just as surprised as I was.

"They'll be glad to take you in late." He spoke, handing me the letter.

I grabbed it and ripped it open.

'Miss Harrison's Boarding School: Minley Manor'

Dear Mr & Mrs SaintClair,

It would be an honor to have Ms. Veronica SaintClair here at our finishing school. We will provide her with the help needed to become a young woman and possibly a wife. In this finishing school she will learn how to become a proper woman by learning how to do the basics like serving tea, teaching social graces and upper-class cultural rites as a preparation for entry into society. ... At their peak, thousands of wealthy young women have been sent to our finishing school. A primary goal here Is to teach our young students to acquire husbands. We will take her anytime soon.

Sincerely,
Miss Harrison from Boarding School: Minley Manor'

I looked up from reading the letter. Everyone's eyes were on me. I felt numb, I don't know what I feel.

Without thinking I walked out of the dining room and towards the front door.

I needed space to think of what I felt and not just explode and get into more trouble.

I walked out of the manor. My boots splashing on the puddles that were left from last night.

I walked past the mud puddles leaving foot prints behind. I was heading to the barn.

There was a lake close by to the manor that would take my mind of things.

Before I left I entered the barn to get daisy.

Daisy was my horse, she was Snow White with blue eyes.

I opened her stall and walked her out with me.

_______

I was sitting infront of the lake one more step and I'll be in the water.

Daisy was sitting down next to me.

I was currently making a flower crown for her. Instead of the lake comforting me it was making me cry.

Tears were falling out my eyes. How I wish he was here to comfort me. He would've said something awfully bizarre. But it didn't matter I wanted his smile, his warmth, his comfort. His touch, I wanted him.

I looked over at daisy, she rubbed her head on my face slowly wiping my tears. I smiled at her.

"I know, I know, I'm pathetic I'm crying over some boy." I placed the flower crown on her head. She nudged me on my arm.

"We went to a lake like this... the difference was that it was night when we arrived."

I didn't understand what I was feeling was it possibly a crush? But I've never experienced this, my heart pounding every time I thought of him.

"He makes me feel some weird way. He gives me butterflies although I've never felt them before."

I laid down facing the sky. The sun was out it was drying up all the fiel. The sky was bright blue. Really pretty...

"Veronica!" Shouted someone.. it sounded far away. "Veronica!" The shouting was getting closer.

"I'm here by the lake!" I shouted back to that voice.
A few minutes later, came William with his horse.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, looking at me laying on the ground.

"Looking at the clouds." I responded, "that one looks like a dinosaur or perhaps a dragon." I turned to him and smiled.

He laid next to me, "it looks more like a chicken to me."

Hey babes, idk what I should say so hey pls comment and vote.

Im so sorry if I misspelled some of these words I would greatly appreciate it if you corrected me.
