+ The Smith's +Mother and Father went over for tea to Mrs. and Mr. Smith.
They had a younger daughter my age, although I've never met her. They live close to the manor.
Meanwhile, William and I were baking in the kitchen.
"1/4 cup of grounded sugar." He read the cookbook where the recipe of the mixed Berry tarts was labeled.
I did as he told me too. It was harder for me to memorize the ingredients needed to make the small crust of the tarts.
Before we came home from the lake we picked berries.
"Do you think they'll be sending me to finishing school soon?" I asked mixing the ingredients.
"Im not sure, but promise me that if anything happens you'll write to me..." he said turning to look at me. I looked at him too.
I could see his brown eyes begging mine to promise. "Fine." He smiled "Only on one condition." I added.
"What would that be?"
"Everything that I'll write to you stays between us. No Parents." He thought about it.
"Fine." I smiled at his response.
"1/2 tsp of cinnamon..." he read.
______
We sat in the living room waiting for that tart crust to finish baking.
William was sitting properly on the couch wile reading the newspaper and I was upside down on the couch.
I was wearing beige trousers and a woman beige tux. My aunt makes my outfits, she specifically like making tuxedos for woman. She has her own shop.
She had me multiple clothes before my whole family found out I had escaped. Of course my parents knew but they hadn't told anyone yet.
"Looks like the boy is still missing..." he spoke not taking his eyes off the newspaper.
"What boy?" I asked, confused.
He threw the newspaper at me. It landed straight to my face. He laughed.
I glared at him as I sat back up.
'Missing boy' Viscount Tewksbury' reward £25,000'
There was a picture of Tewksbury with long hair and what appeared to be the tuxedo he was wearing when we first met him.
"They'll never find him with this picture that for sure." I said analyzing the picture.
"Hm?"
"Well you see i cut his hair in the woods we slept in the first night. And that tuxedo is definitely no where to be seen again."
I looked up at William, his face was confused.
"Okay... I think I should tell you the whole story now."
______
"So they found you because you were at the place Ms. Holmes was staying in, and somehow they found out where she was staying?" He asked leaning on the marbel kitchen bar.
"Correct." I responded placing the berries on the tarts.
"And you were determined to help enola escape but when you were about to reach for Tewksbury's hand it was to late?"
