Enola had been dropped of with her brother Mycroft Holmes.

Now it was me and Inspector Lestrade. We were riding a carriage. We were on our way to meet my parents.

I had messed up hadn't i. I should've left when I could.

Tears streaming down my eyes. It was cloudy outside. I could tell it was going to rain.

"We're here" he told me. I don't know where we were. I didn't say anything. He walked over to the carriage door.

He opened the door and walked out. I stood up and walked towards the door. He offered his hand. I didn't look at him. I got down by myself.

"Your parents will be here shortly" he closed the carriage door behind me.

I stood next to him. There was no point in running. First, i had nowhere to go. Second, I had no idea where I was.

____

A Outline of a men walked towards us. As he got closer I realized who it was. Father. He stood infront of me.

I could feel his eyes burning through my scull. I couldn't dare look at him in the eyes.

"Thank you. Here's the money." he handed the money to Inspectord Lestrade.

"Mhm" responded Inspector Lestrade while grabbing his hat and nodding his head.

"Veronica." He said looking at me. I looked up at him. Tears forming in my eyes. I could see the anger but relief in his eyes.

"We must get going." He told me. Walking forward again. I walked behind him.

We walked to were our carriage was at. He opened the door for me.

I slowly walked in. I sat on the red leather seat. Father sat next to me. And chofer Tom closed the door behind him.

The carriage started moving. We sat in silence. The rain finally falling from the clouds. The sound of the rain drops hitting the carriage windows.

_____

Father hadn't said a word to me for the past 30 minutes.

He was gonna do it sometime. These past minutes I had been crying the whole time. The sound of lightning and rain outside the carriage.

It was a long way home.

"You may not like me at this moment. You may not think what I'm doing is right. But one day you will have to become a bride. I want you to be happy." He spoke.

"No." I told him. "You don't. You want you to be happy. You want to control me. Because otherwise you think I will affect your standing."

"You already have done immense damage."

"I haven't! I put myself first for once!" I shouted at him.

"And for that you have caused your mother to be sick. Now the man you were supposed to marry won't wife you!" He shouted.

"Let me out of this carriage." I told him. "I will deny that I am your daughter to whoever asks."

"You've caused enough trouble already. I will not let you out of this carriage. All I wanted for you to do is to go to finishing school and be happy!" He raised his voice.
