"You and Adrian?" Admira asks with a grin as I grab a bottle of water and a bag of chips from the kitchen where she's sorting through paperwork I'm sure is for work.
"Me and Adrian?" I ask right back, trying and failing at hiding my smile.
"Are you two dating?" She straight up asks as I stand at the end of the hall, hoping he can't hear us from where he's in my room.
Me and Adrian are hanging out while we were finishing homework together but now we're reading. We went to the school library today to get some books together. Divine and Ashton are in her room too, doing homework, at least they were.
Of course Admira makes us both keep our doors open, as expected now that she can clearly tell there's stuff between me and Adrian then Divine and Ashton.
"Not yet." Her grin widens, setting her pen down.
"Not yet?"
"Not yet..." I confirm as I make my way back to my room, seeing Adrian already reading our book as I plop down on the bed. "I said not to start without me!"
"Sorry, baby. It was too good to wait." I snatch the book out of his hand, not trusting him anymore-but I can't ignore the butterflies. Baby. "Oh come on!"
"Well," I sigh, starting to read as I lay my head on his chest, able to keep the book up with his help.

A couple hours later and it's 8pm, all of us sitting around a table at an arcade with a pizza. Danny and Noah are with us too now. Today is Friday, and I'm having so fucking much fun.
Everyone goes back to playing games, leaving me and Adrian. I sit there with the biggest smile on my face, making Adrian have one too as he questions me. "What?"
"Nothing... I'm just really happy," I admit, making his smile widen.
"Good. Let's keep it that way." He kisses my cheek, taking my hand in his as we stand to find everyone else.
"You okay Noah?" I ask as Adrian walks over to Ashton and Divine, seeing Noah by himself with a sad and lonesome expression.
"Yeah." He puts back on a smile as I look around for Danny. "He went to the restroom."
I nod, gesturing for him to follow me as I try to find a game that no one's occupying at the moment for us to play.
"I don't want to get in your guys' ways, Ashton and-" I cut him off, swiping the card over a basketball game as the basketballs roll down the machine, a countdown starting.
"You're not getting in anybody's way, Noah," I assure him, grabbing a basketball, frowning as he'd think that. "You're our friend, it's impossible to do so."
An hour later and we're leaving the arcade as it's closing, walking back out into the cold. But it's snowing, not heavily, it's just flurries but it's fucking snow! It's a shock with it just being almost mid November and with where we live but not when it keeps getting colder and colder everyday.
