"Immediate family members of Ryan Browns?" a nurse walked out, and my mom and I immediately stepped up.

"Yes, I'm his mother and this is his sister," mom said, handing her our IDs. She looked at them and nodded, letting us into Ryan's room.

We both walked in, and the sight hit me like a ton of bricks. Ryan was lying there unconscious, his right leg and his right arm were wrapped in gauzes, he had neck support on, and he was hooked to a ton of machines. "Oh, my boy," mom said, her voice cracking.

I had to be strong for her. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it tight. "He'll be okay, mom, he's strong."

"Hello, Mrs Brown and Ms Brown, I'm doctor Michael, I've been monitoring Ryan for a couple of hours now," a doctor walked in and said.

"How is he?" Mom asked.

"He broke his ribs, and his right arm and leg, his neck twisted awfully that's why he's supported, and he had quite a bad concussion," the doctor looked at his board. "We'll be removing the gauze around the ribs very soon."

"Will this concussion cause effects?" I asked, feeling my insides churn.

"At this level, yes, he might have irritability and other personality changes, sensitivity to light and noise, sleep disturbances, and possible memory loss."

Memory loss?

"Like, Amnesia?" I asked in fear.

"No No, not this severe, from our tests we concluded that he lost anywhere between a day to about two weeks, once he wakes up we'll ask what he remembers, and connect the timeline, that's where we need your help."

The doctor asked my mom and I questions about what happened in the last month, and I gave them any details in Hawaii, and mom gave them as many details as she could.

"He should wake up soon, give him 5-15 minutes max," Doctor Michael said.

"Thank you, doctor," I said, and he nodded, giving me a small grin.

"Don't worry, he'll be alright," he reassured us, then walked out. "Non-family members are now allowed in," he added before leaving.

Mom kneeled next to Ryan, gently stroking his hair. "Tell your friends to come in, Riles," mom
said, not looking at me.
