"I can't believe the day is finally here!" Ryan and I were talking about how crazy it was that we were both college graduates as I was doing my makeup.

"It's insane how fast it went by. I feel like just yesterday we were celebrating you getting accepted to FIU," he said.

I started curling my eyelashes. "I know, right?"

Ryan's phone started ringing, he looked at the caller ID and then answered. "Hey, dude," he said, getting off of my bed and out of my room.

I finished off my makeup and shut my room door, locking it. I didn't want Ryan walking in on me changing.

I put on my dress, which was a short spaghetti strap flowy baby blue dress. Sky, Lilly, and I all decided that we'll wear baby blue, as it was the color we were all coincidentally wearing the day we met.

I looked in the mirror one more time, smiling at my reflection. I felt good about the makeup and the hair, and I was very excited to put on the graduation cap. It read: "Isn't it amazing what clever girls can do?"

Lilly picked the quote.

I put on the white gold necklace Leon got me for my birthday and added my small diamond earrings Dad got me when I was about to start high school.

I then put on my white heels, unlocked my room's door, and walked downstairs.

"You look great, Riles!" Ryan exclaimed when he saw me and I thanked him. "I'm going to pick up Leon from the airport, I'll see you at the graduation, ok?"

"Sounds good, Ry," I said and he nodded, then walked out of the house.

Leon couldn't get any days off from work, he's recently gotten promoted to an actual scientist at the Kewalo Lab, so he couldn't immediately ask for days off.

I missed him like hell. I hadn't seen him since Christmas last year. I was so excited to see him today.

Our relationship was stronger than ever. I was scared things would be bad because we were so far apart. But I FaceTime him every day, and we talk until one of us falls asleep on the call.

I can't wait to move to Hawaii with him and finally be with him every day. He's the love of my life.

Mom walked downstairs, dressed in her favorite black jumpsuit.

Once she saw me, she gasped excitedly."You look so good, honey!" she smiled. "Oh, I can't believe both my babies are college graduates. I'm so proud of you!"
