Usually when it rained Bondi found herself cuddled in bed, relaxed listening to the rain patter against her window. It was calming for the teen girl. Yet, in this moment of time the blonde was the opposite of relaxed.
Currently the windy rain storm made Bondi's long hair stick to her face making it hard to see a thing. All while her clothes were drenched. Dragging her down as she stood up and looked over the fence with Kiara right beside. Pope was holding a camera up to the construction site where Ward wanted to meet Gavin. It was their best bet on catching any evidence to clear John B's name.
"Nice camera. Where'd you dig up that relic? Why don't you use your phone?" JJ asked Pope who was the only one protected from the rain, thanks to his hoodie. Bondi cursed him for always being prepared.
"Well first of all, I like my antique electronics. Second of all, this a telephoto."
Bondi threw Kie a confused glance. "Sounds like something that would belong in a museum."
Pope rolled his eyes. "It allows me to get a close image from far away."
"Lord of the dorks."
"For definitive proof of witness payoff we're gonna need quality glass." He lifted it up to show Kiara who averted her eyes back to the scene.
JJ's eyes widened a fraction as he pointed to a running Ward, who deemed to be carrying a duffel bag. "There he is. Yo, get down."
Bondi was pulled next to the blonde boy as the other duo quickly joined. But Pope still held the camera up over the fence. "And there's Gavin."
The two men rushed into the site to get away from the rain. "Where are you going you son of bitch," Pope harshly let out seeing as Ward and Gavin disappeared off camera and into a building.
"No, no, no, no. I'm losing him."
JJ tried to search for another way to get a better look until he spotted a solution. He whistled over to the group, spotting something they could climb. "Hold on. Hey, I found something. Come here."
The pogues quickly followed the shaggy haired blonde and climbed up the ladder. "Hurry. Don't want to miss anything."
Once they were secure and safe up on the roof they again had a clear view of Ward and Gavin. Pope began to set up his camera and record the two suspicious men. "Are you getting it?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I see them."
Bondi hastily swiped the rain dripping down her face, trying to get a better view. "Mother Weather really is getting on my last nerve," the girl sighed before she squinted at the culprits. "What did he just hand him?"
"Ward just handed Gavin something. I think it's a duffel bag."
"Guys I think this a payoff." He had a fair case. At this point Ward Cameron was a professional at covering his trails.
