Bondi wasn't one to think ahead. Especially when it came to the huge chunk of gold. The blonde never thought the day would come where she would pawn off a large amount of gold. Never in a million years. Yet here she was, minutes away from cashing it in.
But not without melting the nugget down. The wheat symbol would be too suspicious to turn in. So with that concluded, Kiara took matters into her own hands. Which meant blowtorching the gold into an odd shaped structure.
Bondi went along with her friends plan as she raised two outcomes. The first being, they would get the cash without suspicion. And the second being, the plan would take a turn for the worst, meaning they would be questioned. Or even worse; arrested. The petite girl took a chance, hoping the first outcome would become reality.
John B rushed in anticipation, pulling into the pawn shop parking lot. Bondi grinned. The girl loved pawnshops. Sure the small shop was sketchy but they were already trying to pawn in old, melted, down gold. Things couldn't get sketchier than that.
JJ cradled the prized item as the group hopped out the van. "Hell of a job melting it down, Dr. Frankenstein."
Bondi rolled her eyes while Kiara just scoffed. "Like you could've done better."
JJ nodded, "I could have done much better. I took a welding class."
Bondi chuckled at the bullshit lie. The curly headed girl crossed her arms over her chest. "When?"
"Woah, woah, hey," John B muttered, getting in between the debate. "Chill out okay?"
"Easy for you to say. You're not the one that has to pawn this piece of shit," JJ argued, holding up the gold. "How did I get this job anyway?"
Pope shrugged, "cause you're the best liar."
Before the annoyed boy could enter the shop, Bondi quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek, for good luck. "Go get em tiger." His face blushed while he threw her a sly smirk over his shoulder.
As the boy disappeared Kiara gave Bondi an all knowing smile. The blonde raised her brows, "what?"
"Oh nothing. Just young love," Kiara announced.
Bondi rolled her eyes as her cheeks reddened. All while JJ tried to persuade his part of the deal.
"Afternoon, ma'am," JJ voiced to the lady at the counter. The older women gave him a suspicious look. However, she replied, "afternoon."
"I see you buy gold," JJ announced, gesturing to the "Cash For Gold" sign.
"That's what the sign say don't it?" The women sassed.
JJ smirked, "well I sure hope you buy a lot of it becasue I'm about to blow your mind."
Placing his backpack on the counter, Bondi got a good look around the shop. The others did the same as they tried not to seem suspicious.
"I ain't got much mind left to blow, so have at it," the women muttered.
JJ excitedly took out the chunk of gold and set it on the old counter. "How about them gold apples."
The women laughed at JJ as she took one glance at the gold. "That ain't real."
The blonde boy scoffed, "that ain't real? Feel how heavy it is."
Attempting to lift it, the women's face scrunched up in surprise. Clearly shocked at how heavy the gold actually was. Quickly picking up a magnifying glass, she observes. "Spray painted tungsten."
"Spray painted tungsten? Really? Okay," JJ challenges. Bondi quietly chuckled at the boy from aside. Knowing he would never give up when it came to being challenged.
