Not too long after the trios revenge act, Kiara had dragged them along to the annual OBX Summer Movie Series.The event consisted of an outside movie, that was set up similar to a drive-in. Except with no cars. Both Kooks and Pogues would set up blankets on the grass to watch on older movie play on the big screen. Bondi usually adored these kind of nights. A fun, relaxed evening with her friends.
However, this time was a bit different. John B was nowhere to be found, JJ was on edge, Pope was straight up paranoid, and Bondi was secretly scared shitless. Kiara had been the only "normal" one tonight. Before arriving, Pope had figured out both Topper and Rafe knew about the little stunt the trio pulled. To keep it simple, the two Kooks weren't happy.
But even though, Bondi feared the two would potentially beat some sense into them, she pushed the feelings aside to please her friend. Kiara smiled brightly at Bondi, while she set up their spot.
"I'm so glad that they're still doing this. Keep calm, carry on. Back to the OBX life. You know?" Kiara asks, looking at the three friends trailing behind. "Aren't you glad I made you come?"
Bondi threw her a fake grin, "yup. I'm really glad." Kiara gave her a skeptical look.
"Ecstatic," Pope sarcastically remarked.
JJ shrugged, clearing his throat, "my couch was pretty comfy. I'll be honest."
Bondi sighed, knowing that his answer was true. Yet, before she could make a comment, the three were talking in hushed whispers.
"We're out of the green zone, man," Pope muttered to the two blondes.
JJ shot him a subtle look, "dude. Tranquilo okay?"
"We're in the middle of Kooklandia. This is the last place I wanted to be," Pope ushered.
At the boys statement, Bondi grimaced. He was right. This was the last place the girl wanted to be.
JJ harshly whispered, "shut up."
Bondi was soon to join the frantic conversation, but as she saw Kiara make her way to get drinks. She went to the girls aid.
However, she wasn't so successful, since she had been pulled back by JJ. "Bond, you can't leave my sight tonight, alright?" He said with worry plastered on his face.
She yanked her arm away and gave him a confident smirk. "I'll be fine. I'm just gonna help Kie with drinks."
He sighed and gently let his hand slip out of its grasp. Yet, before she stalked off to help her friend, Bondi tapped the tip of JJ's hat in reassurance.
He gave her a smile once more and she was off.
"Hey, uh...can I get two Pepsi's please?" Kiara asked handing over a five dollar bill. All while Bondi called over, "do you need any help m'lady?" She says as she bowed in front of Kiara.
