There are five stages of grief. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.Yet the only stage Bondi could process was anger. She was angry that the police still didn't believe Rafe was behind the killing of sheriff Peterkin. She was angry that she would never see John B again. A person she loved like a brother. She was angry that Sarah Cameron died along side of him only causing another tear in her heart. But most of all she was angry that her mother decided to jump right back into her life.
Evelyn Lane. The women who gave birth to Bondi, nothing more. She was more of a burden then a mother. It just so happened they released her on good behavior. Not that Bondi ever contacted authorities to even check on Evelyn. Better to forget she existed then pretend to act as if she cared.
However Bondi's tactic backfired knowing the women would never leave. She was a thorn in the small girls side and every time she would try and pick her mother out she would only dig in deeper. So not only was the blonde grieving for her best friend but had to deal with a new situation added onto the heartbreak. You could say things weren't looking up. The only stable thing in Bondis life was her and JJ's relationship. The loss of a dear friend only made the two that much closer.
After seeing Evelyns arrival JJ had yanked Bondi and they stormed to the Chateau. Taking a break from reality all together. The blonde girl hadn't spoken to her mother since. Evelyn wasn't her top priority at the moment. The first stage of grief was too busy kicking Bondis ass.
Even after long nights of comfort from JJ, Bondi still couldn't believe John B was gone. Yet she wasn't the only one struggling, so the Pogues decided to do a closed circle ceremony amongst themselves.
Her, JJ, Pope, and Kiara stood around the tree outside the Chateau. The one lone tree that survived the horrific storm. JJ did the honors of carving a heart shape into the bark that read P4L in the center.
"John B," JJ raised his flask.
"And Sarah," Kiara weakly added staring at a stern JJ.
His blue eyes wondered to the short girl beside him. He grabbed her hand giving her a squeeze of reassurance. Bondi's eyes filled with tears but she didn't let them drop. John B wouldn't want to see her turn into a sobbing mess. All while Pope finished off his beer.
Kiara and Bondi both held John B's possessions. It consisted of pictures, bracelets, drawings, really anything they could get their hands on that were meaningful. The two placed the items in a hole underneath the tree. JJ and Pope joined in to help cover it with dirt as Bondi finished it off with a couple of hand picked flowers.
"Love you big bro," Bondi whispered as she kissed the ground and stood up.
