I went through the nether portal, a purple haze surrounding me.  I didn't know where I was going,  I just needed to make sure I wasn't found. I noticed a small wooden chest next to the portal. I reached in stealing an iron pickaxe, a fire resistance potion and a golden helmet, placing the helmet on my head, and the two other things I stole went into my bag.

'Hey' I thought to myself 'egg, your still in my head right ' i wasn't expecting an answer,  but its what I got.

'I thought you'd never ask' my eye widened in shock.

" your not even real! So why am I hearing you " I Said out loud to no one but myself.

'What did I tell you? I am the Thorns under your Skin. ' It said. I looked around in an attempt to figure out what biome I was in, warped forest. I looked in my bag, shit, I didn't bring a saddle. I mined a bunch of the blocks and built a bridge to the next biome.

I prayed that it would be a crimson forest, but no. It was a basalt delta.  Of course.  I groaned in annoyance "of course." I Said.

a magma cube hit my side I grabbed my sword slashing it in two.  The two sides came back each as another cube. "Damn parasites."i muttered under My breath.

The cube on the left leaped at me hitting my stomach knocking me backwards. My foot landed on a magma block  "shit!" I exclaimed out of pain

I ran barely dodging a small pool of lava. I'd deal with them later, but now I needed to get to the next biome. 'Would you like some help?' The egg asked  'yes please' I thought back.

My mind went blank as my wings tore through my shirt.  I took off, feeling lighter than air. My feet left the ground as my wings flaped rhythmically. 'Woah' was all I could think

'I know right!' The egg said I laughed happily, feeling light. Like everything that weighed me down, left.

'How are you doing that?!' I wondered.

'You could always do that. I just took over your mind, and gave your body the instructions.' I was amazed that I could always do that. 'So where to?' It asked.  I thought for a moment before deciding on Ozzie's village. I dove downwards towards the ground. Before going back up not too high, just high enough to keep me about 9 feet above the ground. I continued flying, till I got to the village.

Wings twice my size cast a shadow over the village, Ozzie looked up at me,  I waved at him as he waved back awestruck. I landed on the ground,  feet finally feeling the ground once more. It felt weird feeling the hot nether world ground on my feet again. Ozzie pulled out his book writing in it.

Y/N HOW DID YOU DO THAT!?

I chuckled before writing back

I have no idea honestly. But I need to get to the library, I have some research to do.

Ozzie led me to the library, writing in his book once more

What are you looking for?

Do you have anything about the crimson egg?

Ozzie looked shocked at the words on the page. He nodded, taking my hand in  his leading me to the archway and inside the library. He led me to a large bookshelf and pointed to the bookshelf, I nodded in understanding.

I looked at a few books, each about the size, and weight, of a brick. I took 2 of the books carrying them to a table in the front near the entry

"Well look who it is." A familiar, monotone voice spoke.

I  felt a rage fill my heart. "Yeah, its me."  I replied slowly.

'Ugh I hate this guy' the egg said.

'Me too, honestly he's just an ass.' I thought back

" What are you reading?" Techno asked.

"Something about the egg." I Said trying to sound calm.

I looked back at the book reading.

'You know those books only lie' the egg said  'they only say the worst things, never see what you actually did. They don't see that you won the battle, they only see the blood you shed.'

'You know I thought you were so terrible when we first met. But maybe you're not so bad, maybe you're actually really nice.' I thought

'Thank you' the egg said,  despite the demonic, cruel, horrible voice it eternally harbored. It sounded vulnerable, and amazed by the kindness I had shown.

Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.
