(Leo's outfit)

(Leo's POV)

She's not coming. She should have been here ten minutes ago and there's still no sign of her. I knew it was too good to be true. How could someone so perfect as her be interested in a guy like me? What do I have to offer her? Nothing.

It's no wonder Sandy left.

"God damn it," I say, kicking the leg of the living room table in frustration.

The sound of a car coming up the driveway has me stopping in my tracks. I hold my breath before turning around slowly to see who has arrived.

My heart jumps in my chest when I look through the window and see Alexis climbing out of the black jeep.

"Yes!" I fist pump the air in delight.

It takes everything in me not to run around the house screaming in happiness that I, Leo, have successfully gone and gotten myself a date with an absolute Goddess. Man, I'm good.

The doorbell rings dragging me back to reality and I all but race to the front door. I pause at the mirror, making sure my hair is perfectly messed up, before opening the door to greet Alexis.

"Hey." She smiles up at me and I clutch the handle of the door with everything in me to stop my knees from giving way.

"Hi," I say breathlessly.

"I'm so sorry I'm late. I lost track of time."

"It's fine," I tell her, standing back and motioning for her to come in. "You were only late by like twelve and a half minutes." I freeze realizing how stupid I just sounded. "Not that I was counting."

Alexis giggles at me as I lead her into the living room. My face flushes red in embarrassment.

"Make yourself at home. I'm just going to grab my jacket."

Without waiting for her to reply and I turn around and race up the stairs.

"Nice one, Leo," I scold myself. "You really know how to make yourself look like an idiot."

I shrug my jacket on and take a minute to calm myself down. I stop in front of my full-length mirror and take a quick look over myself to make sure I look presentable.

My jeans and brown boots go surprisingly well with my brown leather jacket and kaki green sweater. I have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself for designing such a good outfit for myself. Brian would be proud.

I shove my phone in my back pocket, grab my wallet from my bed and make my way back down the stairs.

"You ready to go?" I ask Alexis when I poke my head into the living room.

"Sure," she smiles, getting up off the couch.

I smile back and extend my hand out to her. She takes my hand, a small blush rising on her cheeks.

"You look beautiful, by the way."

I almost feel like I insult her when I call her beautiful because beautiful doesn't compare to how gorgeous she looks. Every time I look at her she just gets more stunning every time. And when she smiles. Man; she makes my heart stop.

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself."

My heart swells in pride at her compliment.

"Thanks," I say, heat rising on my cheeks once more.

"So," she starts once we're both seated in the jeep. "Where are we going?"

I turn the ignition on before replying. "It's a surprise."
