August 23, Julia's pov
After a second ring, she answered, "Hello? With Sophie?"
"Hey, it's Julia." I greeted
"Hey Jules."
"HI, uhm I was calling to wish you a happy birthday." I smiled.
"Aww thank you."
"Are you going to celebrate it?" I asked.
"Yeah! I've already gotten some presents from my parents and I'm planning on organizing a party after everyone is back from vacation." She replied.
"Oh, that's fun. I am invited, right?" I joked.
She laughed, "Course you are. How is your vacation?" she asked.
"It's really nice. I'm having a lot of fun." I answered. That is articulated... lightly.
"Good. Oh Jules, I got to go. See you at practise, right?"
"Yeah, and we'll keep in touch."
"Okay, bye!" she said as the line went dead.
I've known Sophie for quite some time. We met at hockey practice 5 or 6 years ago, and she hasn't been able to get rid of me.
It has been raining the whole day. I like rain. Because I'm basic. That's why my favourite colour is blue, I like astrology and stars and I like reading.
Also basic, my parents left me and my new parents... well, they're amazing, right??
We've been playing games and eating inside. It's very cosy.
Well, it was anyway. Before Niall, Louis and Liam decided to take a shower. Even though they had to walk through the rain to get there.
Harry was sitting on the couch with his hands to his mouth.
I plopped down next to him. "Hi." I said. "Made you tea" I smiled.
He gave me an anxious smile. He was biting his nails.
"Harry?" I asked.
"mmh?" he quietly mumbled.
"You okay?" I asked. Something was wrong.
"Yeah." He whispered.
I grabbed his hands and pulled them away from his mouth. "Harry, stop biting your nails. Are you okay?" I said.
He only bites his nails when something is seriously wrong.
"YES!" he snapped as he put his hands to his mouth again.
I flinched and backed away. He scared me. "Sorry." I said.
He looked me in my eyes, and I saw the regret written on his face. "Julia, no, I'm sorry. Please don't be scared of me."
I took a breath and said, "Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" I tried again.
"I'm scared." He whispered.
"Scared of what?"
There was a rumble of thunder.
He made himself smaller then he already was, holding himself.
"Thunder." He whispered.
I got closer and put my arms around him. "Hey. That's okay." I rubbed my hands on his arms.
