Julia's pov, July 15 2020

"Claire?" I said as I walked through the house. Claire is one of our maids. She is super nice and really caring. She has beautiful long blonde hair, but she always wears it in a tight bun. Just like my mom.

Where could she be?

I walked through the living room, dining room and then I went to the laundry room. There she was, folding clothes.

"Claire!" I exclaimed with a smile

"Julia! How can I help you today?" she answered, and she turned around so she could look at me. She was holding two light blue towels in her right hand and a pair of grey trousers over her left arm.

"yeah, uhm do you have an envelope?"

She raised her eyebrows, but nonetheless put the clothes down and started walking out of the room.

"you wrote it again?" she asked

"mhm. Well, I'm going to write it." I answered as I followed her.

"you know what Monique thinks about those."

"yeah yeah, I know. But mom doesn't need to know I still write them."

She sighed as we arrived in her office.

I must admit, Claire is one of my favourite maids. She has worked here for a very very long time, and that's why she has her own office. She also sleeps in there. It's not gigantic, but it's not small either. And I know for a fact she has it better than many others. I've heard some maids sleep in closets or storage rooms. That is inhumane, right!?

My parents pay her a healthy amount of money and I've never heard her complain. Not that I think she would complain if she had the chance, because she is way too nice for that and it's not really appropriate to complain to your 'boss', but still.

She rummaged through a drawer and handed me a white envelope. This one doesn't look like the one from my dreams at all. The one from my dreams is cream and has a big red stamp from candle wax or something on it. It's always so exaggerated

"do you need a stamp too?" she asked as I took the envelope from her hands.

"yes please." I said with a grin.

she held two different stamps out for me. A blue one, and a pink one.

"blue? Pink? I also have purple somewhere?"

"blue." I said and she laughed

"of course." She knows me too well.

I grabbed the blue stamp and she put the others back in her drawer.

"you really think this is a good idea?" she asked again.

"yes." I smiled. "don't tell my mom." I quickly added as we walked out of her office.

"I won't." She promised and I walked back to my room.

I sat down at my desk and took a paper out of my drawer.

"so." I sighed. My music was still playing, so it wasn't dead silent. That would've been awkward.

I grabbed a pen and started writing.

"done." I sighed a while later. Writing with a pen is a little exhausting, but I think it's quirky, so why not?

I first folded the letter horizontal and then again vertically. I grabbed a tape and sealed the letter. Then I put it in the envelope. I took the sticky strip off and sealed the envelope.
