Chapter 10

The end credits of the film they were watching rolls and the official soundtrack were making the whole room get the after vibe of the movie. Kana takes a side-glance on the man resting his head on his right shoulder, sleeping soundly as almost inaudible snores escape his parted lips. He badly wants to capture this moment and hang it to every museum there is because, for him, he looks like a nice piece of art in his serene moment of sleep. He didn't know how Suppasit ended on his shoulder because all he knew was that he was fully engrossed in the movie he personally picks, 50 First Dates.

It has been two weeks of staying with him and this is the closest I've been with him. I want to cherish every moment because although we act casually and friendly at each other, it doesn't mean that he'll want me to stay in his life after this month ended. My place is not deliberate.

Kana reaches his left hand to Suppasit's face absentmindedly because of the strong urges to caress his face. He halts and returns back to his right mind when he stirs in his sleep. He closes his hand tight bringing it down to his lap and softly nudges Suppasit's head "Hey! You sleep through the movie!" Kana protested. Some things really never change Mew.

Suppasit takes his time to get his head off of Kana. He stretches his arms wide open on both sides making sure to not hit Kana in the process because his head was still resting on the comfortable shoulder. "I told you we should watch marvel movies instead." He grumbles as his left hand landed on the couch's seat caging Kana in that position. "Hey!" He slaps the hand playfully "let me go!" he whines. Suppasit now takes his head from Kana's shoulder leaning in forward to get a full view of Kana's face with a smirk playing on his lips "No way." He said mockingly but his voice was firm.

Kana on that angle can see the sparkle of Suppasit's eyes because of the lights. Suppasit always finds joy in annoying and making him laugh. Although he complains about it, he can't deny that he loves this annoying side of him.

Is it even possible to keep on falling in love with the same person?

His place was not deliberate in Suppasit's life and the clock ticks like it's waiting for a bomb of reality to pull him back to his place.

But I'm glad you're living the life you were deprived of back then Mew.

And with his not so deliberate thoughts he said "I like your eyes." Completely forgetting the antics Suppasit was trying to pull.

"W-what?" He can see the disbelief in Suppasit's eyes as the lights dance around it. "I mean, I like it because you have that James Dean daydream looks in your eye" Kana chanted the lyrics of Taylor Swift's song Style trying to get away from his sudden slip but then he realizes he put himself in a much more embarrassing situation by singing and he can't still get up and make a graceful exit because Suppasit is not planning to let him live through the embarrassment. So he covers his face with his hands, groaning his embarrassment out and trying to calm his hammering heart. "Aw! You're acting shy? Why is it?" Suppasit is trying to get Kana's hands off of his face but the latter wouldn't budge.

"It's 7 already," Suppasit said in a serious tone. He stops his persistent attempts to take Kana's hands-off and the latter freezes, his eyes went wide and he drops his hands off to his lap, looks at the wall clock right next to the kitchen's door and the clock just hits 6. Before he can react, Suppasit caught both of his hands and lays almost half of his body on Kana's lap, looking up at him with a grin reaching from ear to ear. "Get off." Kana tries to wiggle his way out but stops abruptly when he realizes Suppasit is still healing from the surgery he had.

"Tell me first why you were acting shy." Suppasit grin was teasing Kana. "I was shy because I don't know how to sing and I sang in front of a singer." Kana finally gives in. Kana saw how Suppasit's teasing facial expression was slowly replaced with a puzzled look on his face. "I had never sung in front of you." He points out and this time Kana's heart almost stops beating. "Oh, I, uh, I heard you hum while you cook and I – um – heard you sing to the beat of a Korean song a few days back."

"Oh." It was the only response Suppasit said but it looks like there were more things he wanted to say to Kana. Then stood up, holding his hand out to help him up, and gingerly he reaches his hand out allowing Suppasit to give him extra support to stand.

"I'll be going with you to the hospital today and from there Tong will pick me up," Suppasit informs once he was on his feet. "Okay. You sure you don't want me to drop you straight to Tong's" Kana asks as he took the remote control and turns off the TV. "Nah, I was asked by my mom to get a file at the Director's office." Suppasit replied, "Plus you'll be running late for your surgery." He adds and walks closer to Kana, pinching his soft cheeks earning a slap on his hand. "That hurts!" He heard Kana shouts as he walks fast to his room.

THEY are now in the parking space of MJ Medical Hospital. The moon was shining brightly as the stars twinkle beautifully. Inside the car, the little light was turned on while Kana on the other hand was struggling to take his watch off and Suppasit just watches him struggle with an admitted fond smile.

"Let me," Suppasit said as he takes Kana's right hand where the watch was put. He tries to unlock the straps but now he knows why Kana was struggling to take it off, the lock was broken. "Is it okay that I destroy this?" Suppasit asked. "Do I even have a choice?" Kana replied sounding resigned. He was running late for his surgery and most of the time he leaves whatever accessories he has inside the car before stepping inside the hospital. "Not really." Suppasit chuckles lightly. He forces the lock to open and now the watch hangs loosely on Kana's wrist. He takes it off delicately and he looks at the time "It's 7:28." He's late.

Kana looks alarmed with how late he was to clock in. Shit! This is the first time I'm late. He opens his side of the car and when he was about to close the door Suppasit shouts leaning closer to the driver's seat "You forgot something!" insinuating about his white coat resting in the backseat. "Oh right!" He realizes and opens the door wider, leaning his face close to Suppasit and gives him a peck on the lips; slipping back to old habits.

When he saw the look on Suppasit's face, he realizes his mistake. In lightning speed, he closes the car's door and the force he made on closing it shut echoes through the almost ghosted parking lot. He was not ready to face Suppasit yet and so he runs, he runs for his life, and he runs back to reality. He heard the faint voice of Suppasit calling him from a distance as he enters the hospital. Good, more place to hide. He was too scared to know his reaction. There was a high probability that he will be rejected.

He did not look like he was disgusted but how would I really know? The man looks taken out of his wits.

He dashes inside the hospital dismissing curious eyes and greetings thrown his way. He then went inside the only place he knows that medical staff barely goes to, the storage room.

What have I done? I said stay lowkey. He only wishes that Suppasit will just let go of it and went to the director's office to get back the files his mother asks him to get. I'll just call Mild after 30 minutes to check if my coast is clear.

The storage room was dimly lit by emergency lights with lines of boxes of different supplies organized in shelves creating a tower and a good hiding spot. He crouches down because he can feel his feet wobble. He took in deep breathes after another while his both hands were put between his temples as he softly massages them. He was regaining his composure when the door to the storage room opens eerily slow.
