"You know you can't just drag me here when I was just done with my 5hour long surgery." Mild said through his breath.

"Shut up. I don't wanna be alone with that Chivaaree." Kana said getting out of the car.

"What does he even want from you? A free consultation?" Mild asked once they were both out of the car.

The Hilltop Hotel and Restaurant screams fancy in all its structure. Kana had never been to this place but he heard so many things about it.

Mild handed his keys to the valet and they went inside the restaurant giving the reservation details Bright Chivaaree wrote on the back portion of the card he had given Kana.

"This is not the person I thought you were with." Bright said raising an eyebrow once they've reached him.

"Well, you are not the person I wanna see today to. So what's this all about?" Kana asked straight away as he sat down the empty seat in front of Bright.

"You really wanna make a Cardiothoracic Surgeon hears all the shenanigans we're about to talk about?" Bright asked with a hint of bemusement in his voice.

"He's Mild. He can take all of that and maybe think we're both psychotic and need a consult but well... he's Mild so yeah." Kana babbles out.

"Well thank you very much I can hear you pretty clearly." Mild interjected.

Bright just shrugged and pulled out something from an envelope in his lap. Kana looked at it with recognition as Bright placed it on the table.

"Is this antique?" Mild asked getting the notebook and just mindlessly flipping pages until he stopped at a page and he looked at Kana then the page on the notebook then to Kana.

Kana was too stunned to do anything.

"That's my proof. Do you wanna see my proof for Mew's?" Bright asked casually.

Kana shook his head no instantly and in his astonished state he asked "How... why?"

"Wait? is this your great grandparent? But it says property of Gulf Chivaaree? Are you related with the Chivaaree?" Mild asked confusedly.

"No." Was the only response Kana said. He then looked expectedly at Bright who just sips his coffee and said "why don't we order first?"

Their orders arrived and Mild was the first one to dig in. Kana just hold his stance, crossing his hands over his chest and looking intensely at Bright who was also eating.

"I inherited the house back you once lived. Your sister, Grace, had made sure to keep your belongings secured after you died." Bright explains. Mild has this confused look on his face but he did not interrupt them.

"Then I found all your diaries. You know what they're all the same. Then and now." Bright said with a little bit of fury in his tone.

"What do you mean?" Kana asked.

"You know, I almost thought that I was a bit crazy when I saw you on the news. Just a bit because there's no way that it could be possible." Bright laughed a bit upon a memory.

"But then I remembered Nattarika. How you two looked a like and how Suppasit was once head over heels towards her then he just suddenly stopped." Bright said.

Kana was now beginning to be more confused than he already is. He doesn't know how to wrap his head to what Bright was saying but a name struck — Nattarika.

And just like on cue Suppasit entered the restaurant with a girl that made Kana think that he might have been losing a twin sister.

They were in a table where they can't be seen once a person entered the restaurant and it was a partition that you can't exactly see from the entrance itself.

Kana was observing them and Suppasit had his business face he often sees when he's dealing with work related things. However, the girl, Nattarika, had this hopeful glint in her eyes.

"As I was saying. You look exactly just like her or is it the other way around?" Bright asked rhetorically.

"I know you're doing something here." Kana said side-eyeing Bright.

"Whatever you wanted to think but.." Bright stopped then looked at Kana in the most earnest looked he'd given and said "I need your help."

Kana almost snorted but he kept it together seeing how serious Bright was.

"If you need my help why go through all of this?" Kana asked.

"Because I need to know that you're not working for the Family and with the Family." Bright said slowly placing stresses to the words "the family"

"I don't get you." Kana said truthfully.

"Chivaaree was how you left it. They still don't believe in loving who you want to love and I..."

"You're in love with Metawin." Kana finishes Bright's word upon realizing it.

"That's why you were such a bitch when we met at the Hospital." Mild kicked in like all the things being discussed in the table actually make sense to him.

"I don't know you and for all I know you could have made Win's situation complicated. They could have paid you." Bright said venomously.

"Hey! I'm a reputable Doctor and I won't let anyone make me a killer!" Mild rebutted.

"Would you lower your voice down! Suppasit could hear you." Kana hushed.

"Whatever." Mild puffed.

"I need to be as careful as I could be. It happened multiple times and I know Win's heart is getting weaker each day but I can't risk him getting operated by someone who can be bought." Bright said.

"And you thought I wouldn't be?" Kana asked in a challenging tone.

"No. We may not have the same situation but I know you know how hard losing someone is, especially if the people who were conspiring against you are the very people who taught you everything you know." Bright said thoughtfully.

"You should know that I had only operated 1 person in my Thoracic career and that person died." Kana said flatly. Like a monotonous robot who was programmed to say those words.

"I know but I know you did everything in your power and you never gave up even the flatline suggested otherwise and that... that is why I feel secured in choosing you." Bright said.

Kana was looking at Suppasit's direction. He doesn't know if he's burning a hole on his skull but Suppasit looked in his direction and the partitions seem to disappear as Suppasit stare at him as well.
