Chapter 14

The long quiet ride was full of tension. Sexual? Maybe. Frustration? Most definitely. When they arrived at Suppasit's penthouse, Kana received a call from the ER so without saying much he answered the call inside his room making sure to slam the door hard.

"Okay. Do call Doctor Phana. He'll be in charge of that patient. Thank you." He finishes the call then he tosses himself on the soft bed, his back landing first on it.

"What the hell does he takes me for? I'm not going to get out of this room. He can talk to his ass." Kana sprawl on the bed and stares at the ceiling; groans in frustration after a short staring session at it.

"I kissed him first!" He sits up and messed his already messy hair. "But the audacity to ignore me after French kissing me?! And to smile like everything's dandy?! HA!" He lets his frustration out by punching the pillow in front of him. 

He just stayed in his room and before he knew it, he fell asleep. He wakes up with the sound of someone knocking on the door while calling his name. "My anger did not pass like a dream Suppasit." He grumbles rolling to his stomach.

"Kana open this door or I'll get the key." He hears Suppasit calls out again. He scoffs "You think I'm some kind of high school student?!" Kana shouts back but his voice was muffled with how he buries his face in the beddings. He waited for a couple of minutes and when he can't hear anything from the other side of the door, he flips on his back staring straight at the ceiling again.

He wasn't given much time to ponder about anything because he heard the lock to his room clicks and the next thing he knew Suppasit was pinning him on the bed. He tries to wiggle out of the position but Suppasit was stronger than him.

"I'll kick you if you don't get off," Kana said through gritted teeth.

"Would you let your patient get hurts Doc?" Suppasit tried his hardest to sound cute but Kana still looks unamused. However, he did not try to fight back anymore.

"Hey" Suppasit whines "Look at me!"  But Kana would look anywhere but straight at him.

"I like you. A lot." This caught Kana's attention and so he looks back at Suppasit who was already looking at him. "Not as a friend but as a lover. I like you a lot." Suppasit vividly said with sincerity lacing in his voice.

Suppasit was so close at Kana's face that he was itching to zero the gap between the both of them. But then he remembered they were in a room together and he knew that they are not both ready to take things to a whole new level. So with hesitations, he got off the bed and stood in the corner while Kana sat on the bed slumping a pillow in his chest.

Kana doesn't know what to say. He doesn't just like Suppasit because he loves him. He was torn on saying a half-lie to satisfy Suppasit or confess what he really feels and swing between Suppasit accepting what he feels or the worst is he would feel creeps out with how fast it seems for Kana to fall in love.

"But if I'm not mistaken you like me back because you kissed me first," Suppasit said taking Kana out of his predicament.

"You're so shameless!" Kana said feeling embarrassed of his own actions. He throws the pillow he was holding at Suppasit who caught it.

"Hey! I was just telling the truth!" Suppasit said.

"Since when?" Kana asked. Suppasit raised a brow because of the ambiguity of the question. "Since when did you like me?" Kana asked being more clear. He was trying to stay confident even though he feels shy and mushy inside.

"I don't know when exactly. I just feel like I want to care for you, I want you around, I feel happy whenever I see you smile and I like everything about you." Suppasit answered with a smile. "How about you? When?" The fond smile was now replaced with a smirk.

You are indeed my Mew.

"When I saw you almost dying on my Operating Table," Kana answered sarcastically. "So you really did like me first!" Suppasit disregarded the sarcastic remarks by the other and did his own happy dance. Kana just laugh at the silliness of Suppasit.

"Just to be clear, we're dating so stop dancing around I'm hungry," Kana said almost nonchalantly if it were not for his burning red ears.

Kana walks out of the room but Suppasit runs to him and spins him around out of joy. When Suppasit was over with his high, he put Kana back on his feet, and they both head to the kitchen. They were eating the crispy pork with basil that Suppasit made when a thought pops up on Kana. He pointed the fork he was holding at Suppasit. Surprised with Kana's action, Suppasit raise both of his hand as if saying he surrenders.

"Why did you ignore me earlier?" He asked and the almost forgotten range resurfaced.

"I was sulking." Suppasit said shyly resting his arm on the table.. "I was worried about you when you collapse in front of me. Then when I woke up I found an empty bed. I thought you will make up with me but you ended up being angry at me." He finished and pouted at Kana. Kana then sets his fork down.

"I didn't know you were sulking. You look so peaceful sleeping so I didn't bother to wake you up. I needed to talk to Doctor Bow because what I did to her was unprofessional and risky. I also had a talk with Mild and he told me how you two knew each other." Kana said.

"That blabber head" Supassit snorted "Anyway, yes I knew what happened to you that night but I still can't help but worry about you." He added.

"Don't worry too much about me." Kana said and reached Suppasit's hand. "I'll look after myself. Especially now that I have a stubborn patient."  He said and smiled brightly.

"Hey! I'm not stubborn!" Suppasit retorts but Kana just rolled his eyes as a response and slaps the hand of Suppasit that he was holding a while ago.

"Let's continue eating. I still have a shift tonight." Kana then picks his utensils.

"Oh I almost forgot! You don't have to go tonight. Doctor Phana said you shoul rest. He'll take your shift today and tomorrow." Suppasit relay.

"But he will be the only General Surgeon left. It'll exhaust him." Kana said worriedly.

"Nah, Zee will arrive tomorrow and that asshole will help him." Suppasit answered casually and Kana stared at Suppasit like he had grown three heads.

"What?" Suppasit asks. "Oh, nothing! It's just how you address Doctor Zee." Kana answered.

"Oh! It's just that Zee and I are friends." Suppasit cleared "Oh? I thought you're not "that" friendly." Kana tried quoting the information he got with his talk with Mild.

"Damn! Mild really went that extreme." Suppasit clicked his tongue "But Zee becomes my closest friend here because he was my doctor. He receives an earful from my mom each time I'm sent to the hospital. Then one day when he caught me being stubborn he just snaps." Suppasit narrated.

"Then?" Kana asks feeling like he was left hanging on a cliff. "Then I decided he's cool and we can become friends." Suppasit finished.

"Wow! You really have an odd way choosing a friend." Kana swings between amusement and disbelief with what he hears.

"Says the one who made the hospital his home." Suppasit shots back.

Kana just roll his eyes and went back on eating and same goes with Suppasit. Kana feels like everything is at its right places. He felt this before. This feeling of being secure and certain. Too certain to the point where he could not accept their downfall in the past.
