Chapter 16

Kana wanted to pull his hand out of Suppasit's grip but then he realized back then, back in their past life, they've dreamt this to happen and that thought alone made Kana's tears brim his eye and tighten his grips on Suppasit's hand.

He was willing himself not to cry and so he tries to distract himself by listening to Suppasit's humming.

"He really is my Mew. Is he drawn in me because we had this connection before? But I'm not sure if the Mew now will accept me after everything that I did back then."

"We're here!" Suppasit announced excitedly.

If Suppasit wasn't holding his hand, he sure as hell would have dropped to the ground at the sight of the office.

Everything they have planned before, the architecture, the place where a piece of art was hanging, the furniture; everything was where they had discussed before.

"Are you okay? You looked like you've seen a ghost." Suppasit joked.

Kana was automatically taken out of his reverie and start dragging Suppasit to the glass wall window overlooking the city and the sunset.

"Woah... you've got this view all to yourself." Kana did not have to fake his amazement because other than the overwhelming feeling of de javu he was indeed awestruck by it.

"Well, I got someone now to share it with." Suppasit said.

Kana looked at him and as much as he wants to be a sassy-ass he refrained himself because the way the sunset reflects its color to Suppasit's flawless face and the way his eyes shines more than the sun got him speechless.

He moved closer and closer and closer until he was hugging Suppasit like it was the last time.

It was just them, the sunset and the unsaid words that should be kept and locked away forever.

"I like how warm you are." Kana commented after awhile.

"You should have told me you're cold. I could've hug you all the way here." Suppasit said with a teasing tone.

"Or I could've just get myself a jacket." Kana banters back.

Suppasit laughs and Kana can't help but laugh too. He gave one final squeeze to the hug and he lets go of Suppasit.

" Other than this stunning view what else is here to see?" Kana asks eager to know more about him. Suppasit then sat Kana on the sofa he had inside his office "Nothing really. I don't often stay here. I prefer to work at home or in vacation. It helps me think."

"You're just avoiding your employees. By the way, stop being hard on them. You never know what they are carrying, it won't hurt being nice." Kana said the latter part with so much conviction.

"I just don't want them to take working here as something they can take for granted . I have longed dream of this place and I won't let anyone ruin it." Suppasit said eyes fixated on Kana and he just feels like Suppasit wasn't just talking about the company.

"That was... poetic?" Kana was very unsure of how to respond and the seriousness of the air around them fear that he might say something or do something that Suppasit may find weird.

"How about you? Is being a doctor the career you would want for yourself?" This time it was the tinged of deja vu that pricks Kana's skin. Are we really spiraling towards the talks we have had in our past life?

"Not really but I feel like its where I truly belonged. If I choose the career path that I want for myself, it'll limit myself to do the things I want for the rest of my life." Kana answered seemingly off-tracked by the realization that maybe if he was like Mew now, who pursue what he would want for himself, they wouldn't even meet. Not in the slightest of chance.

"Have you done it? The thing you want for yourself?" Suppasit prompts. This is why Kana love Mew, the Mew now and the Mew then, they were always easy to talk with. They test waters, they try to keep an open mind and an open eye about the things you talk about and their presence makes you want to spill all thoughts that would come to your mind.

Even the what ifs and buts are openly discuss and Mew would never make him feel like his feeling is invalid.

"I'm still not sure. I'm still worried that maybe I'm still at my beginning phase all the damn time. I just fear of the ending regardless if it's far ahead." Kana answered honestly.

"Well, you are doing great for now and I'll always root for you all the way." It was this simple words and the way Suppasit eyes shine so much sincerity that Kana can't help but shed some tears.

Suppasit did not question Kana if he's okay or what happened, all he did was pull Kana in a hug and let him cry on his shoulder as he plants small taps on Kana's back.

It was that moment that Kana knew that all the what ifs is nothing compared to the security Suppasit was giving him.
