Chapter 17

It had been a week since they have visited Suppasit's studio. The week had been great for the both of them.

Kana still lives with Mew and he still have to take graveyard shifts to fill in all the shift he missed in the morning. He rounds were mostly handled by Dr. Phana.

Although they sleep in the same condo unit they have been sleeping separately because they are taking their time in knowing each other. They knew that when they start sharing a bed who knows where all the tensions between them will lead.

"What happened with Metawin?" Asked Kana.

Mild, Zee and Kana were sitting in the cafeteria after a long night shift just relaxing before they go home.

"Some doctor came rushing in here. It was I think it was Dr. Va... Bright! He asked to discharge Win after my consultation." Mild answer.

"Weren't that a week ago news?" Zee who had instantly became friends with Kana during the passed week asked confused.

"We haven't had time to chat. This hospital never runs out of patient." Mild said exasperatedly.

"You can't blame them. They wanted to be treated by the most handsome doctors in the country." Zee joked.

"You mean us. Me and Kana? I know you have a good eye Dr. Panich!" Mild batted in.

"Oh would you both shut up! Others might think we've got cracks." Kana hist.

"In my defense Mild was pushing me to it."

Mild was about to shoot back when the intercom pages them.

"I thought we were off shift?" Mild grumbles but he was the first one to stood up and was the very first reach the Emergency room.

The E.R was full of running nurses, a few doctors, and a couple more resident doctors aiding the patients.

"Sorry Doctors, we could really use some help." The head nurse said apologetically

"What happened?" Mild asked looking at how many patients were rushed in the E.R.

Gulf and Zee were already tending others and as per Mild, the patients were out of his jurisdiction.

"There was a car crash accident. 4 cars and a 10 wheeler was involved." The head nursed filled him in.

Kana was examining an elderly patient that had a bone fracture, the patient was unconscious but the nurse that tends to him said that there was motor signals from the patient.

"Put a cast to this leg and when he wakes up make sure to call doctor Phana or me for a follow up. He'll be conscious any minute now because he had a severe concussion."

He move pass to the next patient that was unattended.

An hour went by and he was at the last patient he have to tend to. "Can't you give me that medicine that makes pain go away?" The little girl asked innocently probably referring to an anesthesia.

Kana gave her a reassuring smile and in a cute little voice he said "just close your eyes. I promise to not make it painful."

"Ohkayyy." The little kid answered and close here eyes.
