All eyes on you, standing in the middle of the room with your girlfriend in front of you. Clutching the glass of champagne as you try to make sense of what is happening, or in this sense, what is about to happen.
She's there, you know she's watching. You look at the face in front of you and as soon as you did you shook your head out of shock.
Why do you see someone else when you look at your girlfriend? Why do you try to look for her in your every turn? Why does she keeps appearing in your mind no matter how much you try to fight it?
All these questions with no use of an answer because no matter how that goes, you know she'll never be yours.
You began to search the room full of people as your eyes landed on her, Elizabeth. Like a light in the dark, she stood out. You can see as she tries to put a smile on her face, how she desperately want to believe this is what is right.
You felt a light tug on your hand. Scarlett is slowly kneeling, you can see as she tries to put a smile on her face, how she's trying to swallow every bit of shame she has for herself.
Same smile. Same happiness. Same Love.
"And that's the reason why I think we should get married, so Y/N will you make me the happiest girl and marry me?"
And just like that, the world has finally stopped spinning. Everyone awaits for your answer, it's in the tip of your tongue but you can spit it out.
The glass shatters on the ground, murmur can be heard and there is, still hanging, the question you don't know how to answer.
---
You and Scarlett are both getting ready for family lunch at her parent's house. They do this every Sunday; you were supposed to attend the church mass earlier but with the events of last night neither of you could stand up properly in the morning.
"Babe, I was talking to my brother last night and he was hoping if you could maybe talk to Lizzie," Scarlett said while fixing her hair in front of the mirror.
"What about?" You wondered. You met Elizabeth Olsen over a year ago in the same gathering you are about to go to. You know each other but you never really talk. You always thought she doesn't like you because whenever you would cross paths, she would cling to Robbie like you were gonna bite her.
"Well, because Lizzie is always asking about you."
"I don't know I just thought she doesn't like me, and we're not kids she should have talk to me." You said while putting a lipstick on.
"You met each other only three times and you know Lizzie she has this thing where she gets nervous around people." Well, that make sense now that you know she doesn't hate you. That's a relief, you were kind of disappointed deeply because the first time you saw her you really wanted to talk to her because you love her character in Marvel but she seem so distant.
"I guess." You shrug.
"And besides you're going to be sisters in law in the future." Scarlett wiggle her eyebrows and smiles at you.
"Yeah right, you wish," You rolled my eyes and went out of the room as you heard her laugh, you can't help but smile.
Turning yourself to face the mirror your smile slowly disappear. You wish that too.

On the way to her parent's house, You and Scarlett talk a bit more about Elizabeth. She keeps insisting you talk to her; she knows that if she don't drill it into your head you would actually forget.
