You took a deep breath before looking at your phone once again. "Is there somewhere you can meet me?" Your finger aches to reply, but your mind tells you not to.

"Bill out please." You signal with your hands to make sure the guy knows that you asked for the check.

You lean down on the counter as you scan the room. There are a lot of people tonight, seeing that it is Friday night. And that reminds you, you would be attending a party with Scarlett tomorrow.

Chris Evans threw yet again another party. These rich people threw them in celebration for anything and dating one allows you to be part of that.

"Don't ignore me." You received another text from Lizzie. You roll your eyes upon reading the text.

"The audacity." You scoff to yourself. You paid the bartender and tip him a generous amount as well.

You made your way to the exit after passing by so many people.

"Y/N." A voice caught your attention, you weren't sure if someone is really calling you but you turn around to check and you saw that it was Colin. "Hey."

"Fancy seeing you here. You with your girl?" He asked, looking around for the blonde you just had a stressful conversation with.

"No, I came alone. She was tired from work." You shrug, disliking to be in his present.

You don't like him for the very reason that he likes Scarlett so much that he doesn't even try to hide it. Of course, Scarlett made sure to stay away from him. Wish you could say the same about you.

"Yeah, I know I was with her earlier." He smirks when he saw the surprise look on your face.

"You were?"

Your girlfriend didn't mention Colin being in the meeting with her. I guess there are a lot of things you don't tell each other nowadays.

"The guy he was on the meeting with was kind of my friend so I just tag along." He said, putting his hand on the pocket of his jeans and shrug his shoulder in a manner that ick you.

"Nice of you to do that." You said and by the loud music, you're surprised he even heard you.

"Scarlett is a friend, I just wanted to help out."

"I'm sure she doesn't need a help from you to get through that meeting." You said, voice in a much louder volume since the music keeps getting louder too.

"Hey." He puts his arms up in surrender. "Chill, I didn't do anything. Goodbye, it's nice meeting you." He chuckles as he walks away, laughing to himself.

Your blood boils at his attitude. You were very much chill and him acting like you were crazy was making you want to slam his face on the floor.

You made your way to the bar, forgetting the fact that you were just leaving.

After three shots of the strongest drink the bartender can offer, you can proudly say that you are drunk. A lot of things are going through your mind right now.

Marriage, kids, Scarlett and Lizzie. And that stupid Colin.

You sigh, two months ago you were completely fine. A good girl, stable job and in a happy relationship but now you're a mess. And all of that was because of you. Surprise surprise, the consequence of your own action, and it wasn't even the worst part yet.

There will be a part where Scarlett will eventually find out. Time is the ultimate truth teller.

"Y/N, I know you're awake. I need to talk to you." New text arrived from Lizzie.
