I open the door to Lyra's room after she told me I could come in. She was in her -now self modified set of armor- and was trying to pack a bag that looked to be for camping. There were food rations, a medical kit, and an extra set of clothes on her bed.
"You wanted to see me?" I said neutrally. She nodded, stopped, and sat down on her bed.
"That I did. Please take a seat." The woman said. Nodding, I sat next to her, trying not to sit on any of her clothes.
"What's up?"
She paused for a minute, before letting out a heavy sigh. "I didn't lie about everything back at the meeting. We really do need to go and find the crystals, and now before Entity can." The knight said.
"Do you know where they are hidden?" I ask. "If so, that could put us at the advantage! We could finally beat Entity, and restore peace!"
She smiled, but slowly sighed, "That would be great... if only I actually knew their location."
I pause, "She never told you?" I ask, worried.
"No Ceris didn't. She never told anyone in case Entity found out I was a traitor, and tortured me till I gave up the location. Her intentions were of good, but.... I guess we never thought that he could, or would try to break the barrier." I look at the ground.
"So, we'll be on a wild goose chase looking for the ten crystals..." I assume. She nervously rubbed the back of her neck, giving me a solid answer. "Great..."
"W-Well! It's not all bad... I do have a lead on someone who may know where they are!" She said. "And on the plus side, we don't need to travel to far to find them..."
"Really? Who!" I say, quite excited.
She sighed before responding, "Lance, lord of the void islands..."
My eyes widen. Of course he would know! Out of all people why didn't I expect him!
"Great! I can make a portal when we need to go, and-"
Lyra chuckled, and ruffled my hair. "Slow down tiger! He might know. I'm not even completely sure he even knew she was still alive."
I pout jokingly, "Okay, fine. When should we leave here?" I ask.
"In an half hour, to an hour? I'll tell Daryll to tell Patrick where we're going, maybe say a few goodbyes to him before we head out."
She got up, walking to the door when I asked. "Wait, if we're going to the end, why are you packing a bag of stuff?" Lyra looked back at me and shrugged.
"Just a feeling that this is gonna be a long trip, so I'm packing ahead of time." She said, before leaving the room.
I got up, knowing what I wanted to do. I wanted to see my little boy! If I'm going to have to leave on a mission here soon, I want to make sure I spend as much time as I can with him! I run around for a few minutes before I find him at home with Daryll, packing a bad.
Jeez why is everyone packing a bag today? I thought to myself, before walking up to him.
"Mommy!" Leone said, running away from his small pile, and towards me, giving me a big hug. "No box came after you!"
"Hi sweetie! Nope! No box! But, what are you doing? Why is everyone packing today."
He giggled and ran around in a circle, "We go on a trip mommy!" He squealed happily, unlike myself who was confused, and look at Daryll.
"What is he...?" I mouth, very confused.
The bandit sighed, leaning over to me, "Effective immediately, Ser Patrick, Lady Hilda, Dexter, myself, etc. are sending children, civilians, wounded soldiers that won't get better before we could potentially be attacked are being sent to the southern village, Greenwood, for their safety." He whispered.
