PREVIOUSLY:

"What's the matter?" Butch questioned as Jace sadly smiled at him, while Butch's dad drew him back and said, "He is a traitor, and he will be going to jail soon," as Butch's eyes widened in shock.

'How could Dad say such a thing? Jace, the boy I grew up with...the person who knows everything about me...is a traitor? No, my stepdad is incorrect...Jace's father isn't even here, and only my father, Mojo, is, so how could he know? Jace's father was my father's right hand when my father was the dragon boss, so Jace would never betray me. ' Butch thought with a sad face.

"How can you say that?" Butch questioned, his voice cracking and his poker face fading, as Mojo, Butch's stepfather who was once Butch's uncle, said, "Jace works for the snakes," as his eyes widened in surprise. Butch quickly looked at Jace to see if he could deny, but he didn't say anything to prove his innocence while he kept on staring at his hand.

The gang responsible for Butch's family's death, the gang that works for Morbucks... Is this the gang for which Jace works for... Did he really betray Butch and our family in such a way? The happiness left Butch and was replaced by confusion and sadness while all he wanted was answers.

BUTCH P.O.V

I had nothing to say as I stared at Jace, who was staring back at me, and I had so many questions in my head, but I no idea what to say or do.

I know Jace would never betray me, and he has always been by my side, protecting me and even assisting me in bringing Morbucks down, so why now? Why is Dad accusing Jace of betraying me? He would never do it, or will he?

My real father had known Jace and his father for a long time, so when I was alone with Brick and Boomer, no one stood by me to protect them except Jace. Why did this happen to Jace, he is like my older brother?

"How can you be so certain that he betrayed me, Dad?" As I asked my father, who sighed and replied, "Your other father, or let's just say Jace's father, isn't even picking up my calls, his mobile is switched off, and when your actual father's accident happened, only Jace's dad knew where he was going." my eyes widened in shock.

I don't believe it and will never believe it because, in the end, it was Jace's father who was injured and taken to the hospital, but my father's injuries were more severe and he died as a result.
