"Ok, we all in position?" Dante asked through comms, the earpiece cold in comparison to my skin. I was riddled with adrenaline, the muscle memory of raids and jobs hitting me like a ton of bricks.
Hums and responses varying in different shades of 'Yes,' echoed through the line before I turned my gaze to Eloise. We stood on the roof, having climbed to the top of the building next to this one. We then used a pieces of metal as a ramp and simply... jumped.
Probably one of the scariest and most awesome things I've ever done, but aren't most things I do with this girl scary and awesome?
"Through dark days and the light." I nudged her lightly, twirling 2 throwing knives out of the holsters on my shins and holding them up infront of my face.
"Through dark days and the light, baby." Elle repeated with a sinister smile, and on Dante's command... we reigned White Rose hell on their asses.
Comms helped fuel all of us. The grunts from all of our attacks, every punch and kick mirrored by a vengeful noise echoing down the line while we spewed similar sounds.
Elle shot the door, the lock flying away in pieces and before we got the chance to open it our self, runaway pussies ran down the door. Men and women obviously running from the wrath of our friends, stopped dead in their tracks when faced with Elle and I.
I swear, we looked like movie stars. Standing with the wind blowing through our hair like a paid actor. The sun hit just right, dark but the last legs of the evening sun were drowning the rooftop in a sickening red glow. The perfect mood lighting for a glorious massacre.
A/N: Play 'Bring That Fire' here for the fight to seem more badass. It's attached to the top if you want it!
Over 10 of them now stood on the roof, us blocking the roof to the other building that they were likely planning to use to escape. A smirk played on my lips, and my hand that was clasped around the hilt of the dagger at my hip let go.
Clenching my fists, I launched. Elle propelled to the left and I went for the right.
5 guys, all built, stood infront of me. Their smug faces were enough to fuel my bloodlust. Using the drive from my start, I rammed my foot into one of their chests. A crack resonated, a sound that rippled round my mind in waves of sadistic pleasure.
The kick startled them all enough to get their heads out of their asses and I had punches thrown at me like they were balls in a game of catch. Each one was harder to dodge, the lot of them directing them in random angles all at the same time, making it difficult and almost impossible to avoid the hits.
Some hits were successful, and I could feel pains erupting in my ribs and legs... a few to my face. But... notice the emphasis on the words almost and some. When one of them moved behind me and gripped my hair, a tight and excruciating pull at my roots alerted me to where I was and what I was here for.
