"That bitch." she mumbled to herself as she was not satisfied with how it turned out. The main reason she came to Mrs. L/n house was actually to stab her with a small knife she prepared in her handbag but she didn't expect Y/n was there as well. "My plan is ruined." she mumbled again and thought it was inaudible for her son to hear.

"What plan?" Satoru, who was driving, asked innocently. He didn't hear what his mother actually said. He could only hear the word plan.

"Oh, nothing, darling. I was just frustrated that my friends went travelling without me. We promised to go there together!" she lied, faking a laugh.

"You want to go travel? I can buy you a ticket right now." her son offered but she shook her head in response.

"It's alright, Satoru. I can go anywhere anytime." she smiled, reaching out her hand to pinch his cheek, "Oh my, you're such a good son."

"By the way, how was the discussion with Mrs. L/n? Did it go well?" Satoru asked. He didn't really know in the detail why his mother wanted to see Mrs. L/n so much but he was informed that she borrowed money from his mother and refused pay it back. He thought it was better to not get involved.

"Well, I didn't expect Y/n to be there too. She offered to pay for her mother." she rolled her eyes. "Both of them are pathetic!"

Satoru went silent after hearing your name for the first time in so many years.

"I asked Y/n whether she remembers you or not and she said she doesn't want to talk about it. I couldn't believe it!" she said, wearing a shocking expression. That was her plan all along ㅡ to make her son hate Y/n.

He gripped the steering wheel tightly but he just stayed silent. He was still hurt, even after many years, he couldn't forget what his mother told him about how you decided to stay away from him.

"That's why I forbid you to get close to her and her mother. I just wanted to protect you." she patted her son's shoulder, trying to calm him down. "I know you're still broken inside but I promise that you'll heal once you meet my friend's daughter, Erika."

"Erika?" he was confused for a second. He had no idea about this, "Why should I meet her?"

"Get to know her first, okay?" she winked, purposely trying to let him guess, "She's pretty and kind too."

Satoru, on the other hand, was too lazy to go any further so he just changed the topic. He knew what his mother had on mind. "I feel like going on a vacation next week. I really need a short break from work."

"Of course, you can. You've been working hard. You deserve a vacation!" she seemed excited, but in her mind, she was actually trying to plan something to do if her son is away.

"But, I still need to settle a few thingsㅡ"

"Don't worry. I will talk to Yuta to clear the schedule for you." she interrupted.

"Um, okay." was his reply before proceeding to drive quietly.

As they reached their huge mansion, he headed straight to his room. His head was still thinking about you.

"Did she really forget me just like that?" he mumbled, furrowing his eyebrows. "So it is true. Everything mother said is true."

He lied down on his king-sized bed, closing his eyes, sighing. He really missed the moments when he was with you but it all started to change when he moved to Canada.

While he was recalling moments of his past, he got a text message from his mother.

Mother
Y/n wants to meet me tomorrow. Do you want to come along? You'll see how pathetic she looks.
