I wake up and sigh.

Today's going to be a long day.

I sit up and feel something under my hand.

I frown and pick it up and a faint smile appears on my face as I look at it.

It's Elijah's hoodie.

I hold it for a moment before I put it under my pillow.

I stand up and go get ready.

If I don't stand up now, I'll never get out of my bed.

After all our classes together Quinn and I grab some food and head over to Elijah's apartment.

We enter the apartment and I put the code in.

We head to the kitchen and I make us something to drink alongside our food.

We didn't see Joey at school today.

He must have not had any classes today.

All the classes Quinn had today were with me in any way.

I don't know if he had any classes today. Not that it matters. Not to sound mean or anything, you know?

I don't know how to feel about this situation.

"You think your brother knows yet?" Quinn asks me whilst we're eating, and I frown.

"Knows what?" I ask her confused.

"About what's happening between you and Elijah?" She asks me, saying his name softly.

I frown, "Why are you whispering his name? We're the only ones here." I tell her.

"You never know." She says, shrugging and takes a bite of her food.

"She's right. You never know." Elijah says as he appears in the kitchen, and I choke on my drink.

Quinn almost choked on her food.

"Elijah, what are you doing here?" I ask him shocked and turn to Quinn.

"Are you okay, Quinn?" I ask her immediately after.

She nods, "Yeah." She says and takes a sip of her drink.

"Can I talk to you in private real quick?" He asks me.

"Before I head back to work..." He adds.

"Sure... I guess." I say and glance at Quinn as I get up.

She nods, "You got this." She mouths, and a faint smile appears on my face.

"Thanks, boo." I say and walk over to Elijah.

"I'm here." I tell him.

"Let's go." He says and starts to walk into the hallway.

We enter my room, and he closes the door behind us.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I ask him.

"The rules for your date." He says to me and I let out a laugh.

"You can't be serious about that, Elijah?" I ask him jokingly.

He looks at me seriously, "Can you?" I ask him again.

"Alana, I'm serious about this." He says to me.

"Listen here, Elijah, I understand you want me all to yourself. I feel the exact same way about you." I tell him.

"So, you understand why I want to set some rules?" He asks me.
