We walk into the building.
Elijah, instead of walking straight to the elevator to go up to his place, he lets go of my hand and walks to the front desk they have here.
"Why are we going here we usually just go straight to the elevator?" I ask him as we come to a stop in front of the desk.
"I ordered something and it should've arrived here already." He tells the lady at the desk but that answers my question too.
The lady answers him and walks to the back.
"What did you order?" I ask him.
"I'll show you when we get up there." He tells me.
"What do you mean? Why not just tell me now?" I ask him.
"Because I want it to be a surprise." He tells me.
The lady comes back with a bottle of wine and what looks like a white cake box.
"Here you go, sir. Elijah Ayre, correct?" She asks him and he nods.
"Yes, that's me. Thank you." He says as he takes the stuff from her.
"Will that be all?" She asks him.
"Yes, thank you. Enjoy the rest of your night." He tells her.
"Thanks, I'll try." She says and we turn and walk to the elevator.
I press the needed buttons and the elevator doors open.
"Are you really not going to tell me what's in the box?" I ask him as we step into the elevator and I press the needed buttons for us to go up.
"No, I am not." He tells me as the doors close and we start to go up.
"Why not?" I ask him after a couple of minutes.
"We're almost there. Just be patient. I promise it's worth it." He tells me.
"It better be." I tell him.
He lets out a chuckle, "You're cute when you get impatient." He tells me.
"I'm not impatient... just frustrated that you won't tell me what's in the box." I tell him.
"I know. And it's adorable." He says as the elevator comes to a stop and the doors open.
I can't help but smile and shake my head as we step out of the elevator.
We enter the kitchen and he places everything on the kitchen island.
He turns and grabs two wine glasses and my stomach growls, as he does.
I feel so embarrassed right now.
"I'm sorry, that cheesecake just keeps on popping back into my mind. It looked so delicious." I tell him in all honesty as he places the glasses in front of us on the kitchen island.
"I can't stop thinking about it." I add nervously.
He lets out a chuckle.
"Then you will be happy to know what's inside of that box." He tells me with a smirk on his face.
"You didn't?" I ask him with a huge smile on my face as I grab the box and place it in front of me.
He turns and grabs two spoons and holds out one for me to take it and says, "Take a look."
I take the spoon and open the box.
I gasp, as I see the cheesecake.
"You're the best." I say as I look at him.
