Elijah gets home, and we make small talk and eat.

The hoodie wasn't brought up once.

I wonder why?

I thought that he would have something snarky to say about it.

After dinner, Melanie left, and we all went our separate ways. I went to my room, and Simon and Elijah went to theirs.

After putting on my pajamas, I get in bed.

My phone vibrates, and I see it's a text from Elijah:

I saw my hoodie is back in my room. Simon said you said you wore it by accident and didn't know it was mine.

I sigh, Simon really gave it back to him. I text him back:

Yeah, I had to make up some story as to why I have it.

My phone vibrates as he texts me back:

Yeah, I figured, but you'll have it back by tomorrow. Don't worry, beautiful.

I can't help but smile. He really is something else.

I would like that hoodie back, to be honest. Is that weird?

I text him back:

That's so nice of you. Are you sure you don't want it back?

My phone vibrates moments later, and it's another text from him:

Oh, it's yours now! Of course, I'm gonna give it back. Naomi took the one I gave to her when she left. The hoodie was just so comfortable I bought myself a new one.

I can't help but smile. She really tried to hold onto him for as long as possible.

It's sad to think about it now, but the fact that he bought another hoodie for himself afterward must've meant it's a really comfortable hoodie.

I text him back:

But if it's really that comfortable, don't you want it back then? I want you to be comfortable, too.

I don't want him to give it up just for me.

I get another text from him:

No, don't worry about it. I'm comfortable, princess.

I smile and shake my head. No boyfriend has ever called me princess, but I think it's cute.

I text him back:

I'm gonna get you something comfortable, as well. So, that, I can feel better. I don't want to take your favorite hoodie from you.

Moments later, I get another text from him:

It's my favorite hoodie for my favorite person. You really don't have to worry about it.

He really is something else.

I mean, I always wore Ethan's hoodies when I wanted to be all comfy and cozy, but he always complained when I wore them. He didn't think it was cute. He just saw it as I'm taking his hoodie because my own clothes aren't comfortable enough, which kinda sucked.

But the fact that Elijah is willing to give up his favorite hoodie for me is so thoughtful of him.

I'm gonna find out where this hoodie came from and see if I can buy him one, as well.
