Alana's P.O.V

I exit his office and there's no Simon or Melanie to be seen.

I find a mirror and make sure my mouth is clean and I fix my hair.

I turn around and see the two secretaries staring at me, each with a grin on their face.

I immediately start to blush.

"I gave him his lunch. I think he liked it." I say awkwardly.

"Good for you, girl." The one secretary says.

"Yeah, good for you, girl." The second girl says.

"What do you mean?" I ask them acting clueless.

"No need to hide it, girl. I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off him either." The girl says.

"Yeah, me neither but he's all yours don't worry, girl. This job pays too well and he seems way too vanilla." The other secretary says.

"If you say so..." I say. They clearly have not seen him in a suit because he looks like someone out of a movie with all his muscles, scars and tattoos.

"...I'm gonna go. I have to get some work done." I add after a few seconds of silence and walk off before they can say anything else.

It feels awkward enough already.

I walk and enter the elevator.

I can't believe I just did that.

I press the needed buttons and go down. Eventually the doors open to the lobby and as soon as it does I see Melanie sitting on a bench, paging through a book.

I exit the elevator and walk over to her.

"I just had an awkward moment with the girls upstairs." I blurt out because it's the first thing that came to mind.

She looks at me, stands up and as she does she says, "Yeah, they can make it awkward sometimes but you don't have to worry about them."

"And why is that?" I ask her.

"They have boyfriends they're loyal to. They just like to drool over ours from time to time." She says as she grabs her stuff and we start to walk.

"Okay... that's good to know, I guess." I tell her as I start to walk with her.

"How'd things go with you and Elijah?" She asks me.

"We got interrupted by Simon but other than that everything went great." I tell her as I start to blush.

"Would you do it again?" She asks me and I shrug.

"Maybe, I don't know." I tell her.

"And why is that?" She asks me as we step out of the building.

"I don't know. I only went down on him. We didn't really have time for anything more. Maybe one day." I say and she lets out a laugh as we get to the car.

"Yeah, maybe one day, girl. You know, baby steps?" She says as she opens the car door and so do I.

"Yeah, baby steps... I guess. It's not even been a full month yet." I tell her and she starts to drive.

"I get it. There's no need to rush. You've got all the time in the world." She says to me.

On our way home I text Quinn to let her know she can come over.

It's just passed 2pm now. So, we can probably drink something and do some work before I want to start getting ready at 5pm.

Elijah said to be ready by seven. So, that's what I'm gonna try and do.
