Chapter Three

       My working relationship with the members is going from strength to strength.
       They are relying on me to deal with details for them and take the pressure off, knowing I will follow it up or pass it to the correct people to get things done.
       I have become the first point of contact on BTS matters from makeup/wardrobe to lunches and ordering in as necessary.
       I am basically their PA. I am in seventh heaven to be honest; we laugh constantly (except when it needs to be serious) and I hope that I keep them grounded.
       I will not tolerate arrogance, they need to remain as humble as they have always been, it is a big part of their charm.
       I don't have to worry, these boys pinch themselves every day. I think, because they struggled so much at the start, they are all grateful to have such a fantastic opportunity to spread their message through the music.
      Their feet are planted firmly on the ground. This is completely genuine.

       I accompany the members to the AMA's, they will be performing DNA. It is pretty hectic backstage,
       I am here to ensure that all their needs are met, interpret a little for them if needed and generally look after them as part of their team.
       Honoured, does not come close to how I feel.
       It is the first time that I have spent any time with them in this type of environment and they are just how I imagined they would be. Some people think it's just fan-service, but I know that what you see is what you get, they are as natural in front of the camera as they are behind it.

       Tae is very friendly, although, as Soo Min had warned, what a flirt!
       I don't react quite as embarrassed anymore, but it doesn't stop Tae trying to get a reaction.
       Like the time he asked if I had a boyfriend and then licked his lips and looked lustfully at me with a wicked smile when I said I was single.
       He grinned, "You could be my girlfriend, we could make out," raising his eyebrows.
       Ooof, that was a heart stopping moment.
       Laughing it off, I practically ran out of the room, with him calling after me, "Call me, baby."
       But now, I love his playful side, it is so endearing and anything I can do to see that incredible smile is fine by me.
       But I think if I were to be over-flirty back to him, he may run a mile. I can sense this is just a game, one that he enjoys, but definitely just a game.

       He and Jimin take good care of the still a little shy Jungkook. I recall from clips I have seen he was extremely shy in the early days of the band.
       Although, I have noticed that he is becoming braver by the day! Is it just around me that he remains shy? I wonder.
       Jimin is such a sensitive guy, he looks out for everyone; he is always the first to notice if something is up with anyone and will often be heard asking, "Are you ok?" to his fellow members. Particularly Jungkook, I note.
       He has spoken to me a few times when he's been particularly worried about one or other of them; wanting me to watch over them a bit more, putting his mind at ease.

       Hoseok, as always, keeps everyone's spirits up. Even though I know he has struggled, I don't think I have ever seen him glum or really angry; he is such a ray of sunshine.
       But I can feel there is a lot of tension in the room today, they are nervous. I think they are always nervous; it's this nervous energy that makes them work so hard.

       They are all constantly going over the song and the dance. Hoseok is the dance master and is guiding them through the choreo. while they discuss their every move with each other.
       It is heart-warming to watch these boys who are more than friends, they have mutual respect; they are brothers!

       While 'Eomma' Jin is fussing about, making sure his little family is all sorted, 'Appa' Namjoon talks with me to make sure that all the arrangements for food and beverages are in hand for after.
       He states, "I think we will all need some soju after this."
       I nod to confirm everything is sorted and add "Soju for all" with a smile and a wink.
       I just winked at Kim Namjoon! and he just treated me to a huge smile and giggle!!

       As he brings them in for the band handshake, I tell them all, "Enjoy it guys, your fans are waiting in anticipation, so expect a great reception."
      They all smile and my heart flutters. I take a step back and let them do their thing and watch their interaction, smiling to myself as they complete the huddle and make their way onto the stage for the performance.
       As expected, they get a rapturous welcome and the fans are all singing the words and fan chants. I watch from the side lines.
       I am so proud of these guys and can't help but feel proud that I am helping them to achieve it all.
       Their performance as always is fantastic. Yeah, I am biased, but I don't care!

       Once all the backslapping and congratulations have died down backstage, as well as the interactions with other artists; some of which these boys have admired from afar for years. Oh, watching them as fanboys is so cute.
       The guys are getting ready to leave for the hotel, as I am busy getting the last of the team and equipment off to where they need to go.
       I notice Namjoon and the three youngest across the room whispering and shooting looks at me.
       I am a little worried that maybe I have done something wrong.
       But then I realise that Tae definitely looks like he is up to something.
      Jimin with eyes alight, then shimmies his way over to me and takes my hand, "Come, please join us Noona."
       Shocked, I replied, "What?! N-no, I couldn't.... this is your celebration guys, go enjoy."
       He pouts at me and flashes his beautiful smile, adding, "We won't take no for an answer, we would like to spend some time with you, besides its your celebration too, Pleeeaaassseee."

       Namjoon looks at me a little apologetically and adds, "I don't think you are going to win this one, they...We want to get to know you more. As you are going to be spending more and more time with us then I think it's a good idea. We want you to feel comfortable around us," flashing his cutest smile and letting his famous dimples make an appearance just for me.
       OH BOY! Could he be any more gorgeous?

       I curse under my breath, because I know I have just full on blushed under his gaze, but I hold up my free hand in defeat and sigh.
      "Ok, ok I would love to join you, thank you guys. Soo Min unnie is here, perhaps I could invite her too?" I ask, searching their beautiful faces. (It's not like we have anywhere else to be and we are staying in the same hotel, albeit, in a budget room 2 floors below theirs).
      "The more the merrier," Jimin exclaims.
       Tae and Jungkook are clapping their hands and jumping around. Obviously happy that I have agreed.
       Not letting go of my hand Jimin begins leading me out of the building. I tell the others they can get off as I am led to one of the cars waiting for the guys.

       I leave them in the lift on my floor telling them I will follow up shortly once I have collected their other guest.
       When I get to our room Soo Min is already there lounging on her bed with the TV on, but she whoops and claps jumping up and down excitedly when I pass on the invite.
       We freshen up quickly and head off to the after party.

       Getting to spend some time with them (into the small hours, in fact), I learn so much about these seven awesome guys.
       We chat non-stop, swap stories, I tell them about how I came to the decision to learn Korean. They seem really interested in knowing about me, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.
       I tease them all a little about stories that ARMY's post all the time about them and wonder how much of it is true and I admit I ask some probing questions which earn me some raised eyebrows; but I want to know!
       Many 'selcas' are taken, Soo Min jumps at the chance to get a pic with J-Hope. She's all smiles and I notice that she hangs on his every word.

       Who would have thought I would have pics of me getting a back hug from Jimin and standing next to V doing a V sign to the camera; Not me!
       I even have a full-blown conversation with Jungkook and a pic, both of us doing finger hearts. He is a very engaging and gorgeous young man.
      They tease him all the time about his awkwardness and the fact that he seems to be good at everything he ever does.
       I tell him, "Take no notice, they're just jealous Kookie."
       He laughs loudly and flashes his bunny smile, his dark brown eyes sparkling with delight. He is finally relaxing with me.
       I know I blush when he admits, "Noona, I like you," he blushes a little himself. But I am sure that he is not speaking romantically.
       And I reply "Kookie, I like you too," with a smile.

       Jin is telling dad jokes, I've heard lots of these online, some of them are truly awful, but you can't help laughing with him.
       He is absolutely hilarious when he goes into a strop if they don't get one of his jokes or don't laugh.
       I have to admit I have trouble keeping up with him; he speaks so fast when he gets angry.
       Minshi (his make-up artist/girlfriend) and I get to know each other a little better without it being work related.
       She is a really lovely quirky girl; she has his wit. I can see the mutual attraction. They are like his & her versions of each other.
       Namjoon and I are chatting and the conversation flows easily. I'm probably oversharing, this is something I tend to do when I am nervous, but he is relaxed in this atmosphere.
       My mouth goes dry when he casually puts his arm around me saying, "Let's have a pic," and clicks his camera, then shares it with me.
       Surprisingly, it's a good pic of me.
