It had been a week since Rachel had come out to Quinn as bisexual, and it served to make their friendship even stronger than it was already.  Rachel was busy thinking about what she was going to do about Finn though.  She knew that no matter what Quinn has her back, and in turn she'll have Santana's support too, given that they are back on good terms.  Finn had become a lot more distant in the past week.  He had started making a habit of ignoring Rachel's phone calls and texts, and he ended up bailing on their Friday date night, without any explanation.

It was Wednesday, Shuester had assigned duets for the week's assignment in Glee.  Quinn got paired with new kid Sam, Finn was paired with the freshman cheerio Jessie, and Rachel got paired with Sunshine.  Mr. Shue had uped the ante with the assignment by giving the teams some incentive.  The duet who performed the best was going to receive a free meal at Breadstix.

Rachel was walking through the hall, books in hand, wearing her cheerios uniform.  When she heard her name being called from the other end of the hall.  It was Sunshine.  She ran up to Rachel to catch up to her and said she thinks she has a great idea for a song.  She handed Rachel a crumpled sheet of paper with a single word on it, "Titanium."  Rachel wasn't thrilled with the idea, but she wanted to try and make friends with Sunshine since they aren't really friends and she's realized that if the two of them were in competition, it would lower morale in glee club.  "Tell me what you think.  Honestly." Sunshine said looking up at her smiling.  "It's not my first choice, but it's a great song.  You and I are going to crush it!"  Rachel proclaimed.  Sunshine smiled and hugged Rachel, "Great.  Umm, when can we get together and work on it?" Sunshine asked.  "Wanna meet up during lunch period?  We can practice in the auditorium." Rachel replied.  "Great!  See ya!"  As Sunshine ran off smiling, Rachel looked back at her and smiled at how happy she just made her.

The smile on Rachel's face soon disappeared as she turned back around and had numerous slushies thrown in her face and poured over her head.  Rachel stood there completely shocked, lost for words, and absolutely freezing.  "How does it feel, dyke?"  Karofsky bent down and asked her straight in her ear and then walked away.  Rachel's immediate response was to find the nearest restroom as she started to feel tears fall down her face.  She ran down the hall and into the restroom, when she got there she locked herself in one of the stalls, backed up against the wall, slid down and started crying.  "Hey.  Are you okay in there?" Rachel recognized the voice and immediately knew it was Jessie.  "Go away Jessie!" Rachel said. "Just leave me alone."

Jessie was not about to leave Rachel on her own, she couldn't stand to see anyone upset.  "Rachel?  Rachel please, let me in, let me help.  I just want to help."  Jessie pleaded.  Rachel got up a minute later opening the door to the stall coming face to face with Jessie.  Jessie's jaw dropped when she saw Rachel covered in a mixture of different colors of slushy.  Jessie pulled Rachel into a hug and stood there as Rachel broke down once again, "It's alright Rachel.  It's okay."  Jessie told her.  After Rachel had calmed down, Jessie helped Rachel get cleaned up.  Rachel texted Quinn.

R: Can you bring me my spare change of clothes from my locker? Please?

Q: Why?

R: just do it please. Combo is 12-56-30

Quinn came in a few minutes later with Rachel's spare clothes and saw Jessie helping Rachel get the rest of the Big Quench out of her hair.  Rachel and Jessie looked over and when they saw Quinn, they both knew she was seeing red.  "Who?  Who the fuck did this to you?"  Quinn asked walking up to Rachel hugging her.  "The football team did it."  Rachel responded.  "They called me dyke too."  Now Jessie was seeing red, she couldn't believe someone would do this to another student.  "I...am...going to kill every last one of them!"  Quinn proclaimed.  She quickly turned on her heel but didn't get far as Rachel grabbed her wrist.  "Quinn don't!  Please."  Rachel said.  "I don't want this to..."  "Rachel, you are my friend.  If you won't stand up for yourself, then someone else has to do it.  And that someone is going to be me."  Quinn told her.  Rachel shook her head, "No no no no.  Please don't do something that you will regret later on.  Please just if you want to help me, then we are doing this my way.  So no killing."  Rachel proclaimed.  Quinn knew that Rachel did not condone violence and would not let Quinn hurt anyone.  Even if it was the jackasses that just drenched her in slushy.

"Alright.  We'll do this your way then."  Quinn told her friend.  "What are you gonna do?"  Jessie asked Rachel.  "I'll talk to Mr. Shuester and Coach Sylvester, see if they can do something."  Rachel stated.  "If that doesn't fix the problem then I'll talk to Finn and Puck."  "Quinn brought Rachel into another hug.  Rachel then outstretched her arm towards Jessie, bringing her in to the hug.

After both girls helped Rachel get cleaned up and got some dry clothes on, they went to talk to the adults about what just happened.
