(Village of Raintree)

Sawyer entered my room to wake me up early that morning.

"Your Majesty," he said.

I woke up with fright.

"My apologies milady I didn't mean to frighten you-" he says

"Aye, that's alright. I suppose I'm just a little on edge. Where are we anyway?" I asked.

"At my sister's home in the village of Raintree, owned by our kingdom. We got here early this morning. You fell asleep on the journey. I didn't have the heart to wake you. Not after the night you had. So, I laid you on the bed" he says

"Thank you, I'll need to thank your sister," I say to him.

"Come, your majesty," he says

"Please, just Annabeth," I say to him.

he was surprised at the statement.

"Um, yeas your maj..... I mean, Annabeth." he says"

"This will take some getting used to," he said

I giggled at his statement.

"That's quite alright," I say

"Shall we go?" I asked

"Aye, don't forget your cloak," he says as I put it on.

He leads me to the kitchen where a woman stood cooking breakfast. She looked exactly like Sawyer. Tall, chestnut brown hair, blueish-green eyes. The only difference being she was darker-skinned since she had been working in the field compared to Sawyer who had white skin because he worked in the palace most of his life. I found it odd she was in pants. women were not allowed to were pants. then again she lived the farm life while I lived the noble life. so she is probably allowed with pants. as for me I only wore pants to blend in. otherwise I would have been punished.

"Sarah, meet my friend," Sawyer said to his sister.

she turned around walked over to us then glanced at me.

"ah, g'marnin. did yer rest well?" she asked.

"I'm sorry I didn't understand," I said.

"Did yer rest well?" she asked.

"Did you asked if I slept well?" I asked.

she nodded.

"I did, thank you. I'm not able to thank you enough," I replied.

"Aye, no worries," she said.

"any ol' friend of Saywer's is er friend o'mine. Come on let's get yer to the dock. ships wait for no one" she says.

she walks to the door.

"you said she's your sister?" I asked

he nodded.

" The accent is throwing you off isn't it?" he asked.

"aye, it is," I replied.

"My father worked as the captain for Jamison's father. he wanted me to be raised where I would later serve the King..... so my mother stayed with my sister and I stayed with my father at the palace. I got raised on the proper royal tongue, Sarah got raised on the country tongue." he explained.

"Aye. I never would have known this had I stayed in the palace. I thought I knew everything as the Queen on our bordering lands. Turns out I know nothing." I say

"That's okay, Annabeth. You'll learn. We best not keep Sarah waiting." he said as he escorted me to the boat.

We found Sarah talking to the captain.
