1 month later...

"I'm sorry, you're going to do what?" Jessica said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Dean cleared his throat. "Cas is going to send me back in time to help us find a relic. This is supposedly going to help us in defeating Amara."

"I don't...what if something bad happens to you? Huh? You always do this! You get an idea from someone, good or bad, and you just do it willy nilly!"

"I do not!"

"Yes you do!"

"Guys!" Sam shouted over the fighting couple. "Remember, darkness, end of the world."

Jessica sighed.

"Listen, Dean, I've lost you so many times throughout the past. I don't want this to be the last time I see you."

Dean stepped forward and pulled his wife close to his chest.

"It won't be the last time. I promise. I'll have Cas with me. And you know him, he's like my guardian angel."

Jessica hugged her husband for what she felt would be the last time.

"Just, please, be safe."

"I will. Promise." Dean kissed her forehead and walked towards Castiel.

"Alright Cas, let's do this."

Before Castiel could place a hand on the hunter Dean smiled at the two.

"Bon voyage."

And in the blink of an eye, he was gone.

Jessica paced the war room as Sam watched her.

"Jess..."

The woman kept pacing.

"Jessica."

She stopped.

"What?"

"You're pacing again." Sam smiled. "You keep doing that you'll put a mark on the floor."

"I'm sorry, Sammy, it's just—" she sat down at the rectangular table with a sigh. "I'm worried about him, and Cas. Has he seemed... I don't know, off to you lately?"

Sam shook his head. "No, not really. He seems like his normal self. Why do you ask?"

"I'm not sure, but sometimes I get a weird vibe from him. Oh well, it's probably nothing."

"Anyways, while they're working on the relic, maybe you and I should read up on that sub?"

Sam pushed a book towards Jessica with a smile on his lips.

"Oh you know how to make a girl blush." She teased.

Before the two could even get past the first paragraph of the sub, the door to the bunker swung open and the sound of sloshing feet could be heard coming down the stairs.

"What the—Cas?" Sam looked up at the drenched angel.

"What the hell happened? Why aren't you on the submarine?!" Jessica asked.

"We made the leap. Dean made it on, I didn't. Couldn't even make it past the hull."

Jessica looked at Sam with worry in her eyes.
