"Jess." Dean shook the girl awake. "Jess lets go, come on."
Jessica opened her eyes. She blinked a few times to make sure what she was seeing was real.
"Dean?" Jessica sat up and touched the mans jacket. She gasped when the cold leather touched her skin. He was real!
"Yeah, Jess?" Dean looked at the girl confused.
"I'm-I'm ok!" Jessica let out a small laugh.
"Of course you're ok." Dean replied. "Why wouldn't you be?"
"I must've had a dream or something." Jessica sighed. "I dreamt I was with Charlie. A man came into our motel room and wanted something on the book of the damned. Charlie pulled a knife, but I stood in front of her." Jessica shivered. "The next thing I knew, I was thrown to the side and hit my head. I heard screaming. Then it went silent." A single tear slid down Jessica's cheek. "I ran to the pay phone to call you. Everything happened so fast. One minute I'm fighting Eldon Styne, the next, I felt a white hot pain on my neck and blacked out." Jessica shook her head and placed a small smile on her lips. "But it was all just a bad dream."
Dean smiled. "See, just a bad dream."
"Where is Charlie by the way?" Jessica asked.
"She took a little vacation for awhile." Dean stood. "Said she wanted to take a break from hunting."
"Oh" Jessica sighed and got out of bed.
"Hey Jess," Sam smiled at the girl as he ran his fingers through his hair. "How'd you sleep?"
"Good, actually." Jessica smiled. "What's on today's agenda? Hunting vampires? Werewolves? Maybe some ghosts?"
Dean chuckled. "I was thinking we'd take a break too."
Jessica choked on the air she was breathing.
"A break? Since when do we take breaks?"
"Since, now" Dean chuckled. "Come on, it'll be nice. Just for a day I'd like to relax."
"I guess one day couldn't hurt." Jessica gave a small smile.
"That's my girl." Dean leaned forward and placed a sweet kiss on her lips.

"This can't be happening." Dean shook his head as he held Jessica's lifeless body in his arms. "This isn't real. This is just some sick joke." Tears streamed down the mans face.
"Dean—" Sam placed his hand on his brothers shoulder, but Dean flinched from the touch.
"Don't" he growled.
Sam sighed and backed away from his brother.
"Bring Charlie to the car." Dean sniffed. "I've got Jess. We need to make the pyres."
Sam nodded his head and went back into the motel.
Dean continued to cradle his wife's body. He wasn't going to let go of her just yet.

It took hours for Sam and Dean to build a big enough pyre for Jessica and Charlie. Once they had finished, they both brought their bodies and placed them down carefully.
Now came the hardest part. Saying goodbye.
Dean took out his lighter and stared at it. He sighed sadly and looked at the flame. As this one was burning brightly, the one inside of him was dying.
Dean threw his lighter onto the pyre and watched as the wood began to burn away.
"Boys, I want you to meet someone. This is Jessica Wilson. She's a hunter."
"Yeah right." Dean chuckled. The woman standing in front of him gave him a death stare.
"Boo!" Jessica jumped out at Dean and watched the man flinch. She began to laugh.
"Jess, what have I told you? You scare me like that again I could literally kill you."
"Oh come on, Dean. See, even Sam thought it was funny."
Dean looked over towards his brother. "Oh shut up!"
"I love you, Dean."
"I Love you too, Jessica."
Tears threatened to spill from Dean's eyes as he watched the people he loved burn away.
Sam cleared his throat and shifted.
"Jessica....Charlie...we're gonna miss you. You were the best. And I'm so sorry—"
"Shut up. You got them killed. You don't get to apologize."
"We were trying to help you."
"I didn't need help." Dean shot back. "I told you to leave it alone."
"What was I supposed to do, just...watch you die?"
"The mark isn't gonna kill me."
"Maybe not, but...when it's done with you, you won't be you anymore. Dean, you're all I've got. So of course I was gonna fight for you, because that's what we do. Listen I had a shot—"
"Yeah, you had a shot. Charlie and Jessica are dead. Nice shot."
"You think I...you think I'm ever...gonna forgive myself for that?"
"You want to know what I think? I think it should be you up there—not them. This thing with Cas and the book ends now. Shut it down before someone else gets hurt. You understand me?"
"What about you?" Sam asked.
"Oh, I'm gonna find whoever did this, and I'm gonna rip apart everything and everyone that they've ever loved, and then I'm gonna tear out their heart."
"Is that you talking or the mark?"
Dean looked at his brother.
"Does it matter?" He turned his back to the fire and walked away.
Sam watched his brother disappeared around a bush.
"What have I done?"
