Trust Fall

Fragile

—/—/—/—/—/—/—/—

The prideful will fall,

Or so do they say;

But closed are your ears,

That pride's in the way.

How weak are the ones,

Who stand all alone;

The ones who could die,

And no one would know.

You love to fly free,

No one's help you take;

And that was my flaw,

That's how you became.

Strength still needs a brain,

Or it serves no cause;

How true of you!

With no heart at all.

About time you learn,

You can't fight alone;

Your power is frail,

Despite what you crow.

I know that one day,

I'll regain my might;

But never will you,

Let go of your pride.

I'll praise your demise,

As soon as it comes;

I may warn you now,

Still, you won't succumb.

How dangerous, an ego,

That climbs like a tower;

A vine full of thorns,

And never a flower.

The humble will rise,

The first will be last;

Who cheats to the front,

Always stumbles back.

There's something you need,

At least to live well;

It takes far more strength,

To kiss pride farewell.

Embrace the weakness,

Never be lonely;

And pass off the pen,

Don't write your own story.

Take the leap of faith,

Into your dark heart;

And you will come out,

No longer torn apart.

These things I do say,

I wish I could do;

And I'm so ashamed,

Of talking to you.

Hypocritical,

Oh, how much I am!

And not like you know,

Your brain can't understand.

Here we go again.
