The small dragonet was flying as fast as she could. She flapped her wings hard, her pursuer was gaining on her. Finally she couldn't go any further, she found a hiding spot in a small tree hollow, her opponent would not be ble to fit in there. Then a a black and white blur shot down from the trees and started towards the tree hollow where the young dragonet is hiding.
She stripped the bark away and revealed the coiled dragonet.
"Found you!" She said, a triumphant smile filled her face. "Your turn to seek, Stormchaser!"
"Awwwwww," Stormchaser whined, although humour sparked in her gaze. "Lightning, I swear you cheat!"
Stormchaser flew back to the start and started counting. "One, two, three..."
"Ready or not, here I come!"

Stormchaser had been dreaming, not a dream, though, more like a memory. A memory from before her older sister had disappeared on a hunting trip.
Stormchaser had grown up her whole life with barely any friends. She lived with her mother, Quickthought, and her father, Sleet. Yes, she was half IceWing. They lived on the outskirts of the rainforest away from the Night palace.
She was a dragonet who knew how to follow rules. Her mother would punish her severely if she ever did the wrong thing, one time, she was excluded from the family dinner and wasn't allowed to eat with her mother and father for a week. She was never treated like this when Lightning was with them. Her father tried to calm Quickthought down whenever she was mad at Stormchaser, it didn't always work. She didn't mind though, it's just grief. Stormchaser would tell herself whenever it happened, but after 4 years, she wasn't so sure.
"Stormchaser?" A calm voice whispered from the doorway, it was her father, Sleet. "Do you want to come for a night hunt with me? Your mother is... upset tonight."
"Sure!" Stormchaser replied, it was always awesome when Sleet wanted to hunt with her.
"Bye, Quickthought!" Stormchaser said as Sleet waved quietly behind her. They were answered with only a hiss and a glare from the NightWing. Stormchaser wondered what it was all about.
It's probably nothing. She answered herself.

They had been flying for what seemed like forever, when Sleet finally decided to land.
"Here's good," he called.
"Oh, there's an owl up there!" Stormchaser pointed out, tilting her wing toward where the owl was.
"I'll get 'im." Sleet whispered.
He leapt into the air, the owl was taken by surprise. It sped up, going almost full speed.
Strange. Stormchaser thought. Usually her father was nimble and graceful, tonight he was slower than usual, and all over the place. He flapped his wings hard, it looked like he was using a lot of energy and effort.
After a while, a small white flash dropped from the sky. yes, owl for midnight snack! Wait, the owl was still circling, dazed, but still flying. That means...
"FATHER!" She yelled frantically.
