"She wants to what?!" Shadowhunter almost fell backwards.
"I-I overheard her while I was in the h-hallway, she said th-that she wants to kill me and her mother!" Stormchaser sobbed, feeling as if Shadowhunter wouldn't believe her.
"Stormchaser, this is serious!" Shadowhunter exclaimed, "why did you let it escalate?"
She's making it seem like it's my fault! Stormchaser's tears slid down her face, she closed her eyes, wishing to be somewhere else.
"Stormchaser," Shadowhunter's voice was filled with regret. " Stormchaser, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it like that!"
Shadowhunter moved closer to Stormchaser and rested her wing on her back. "We should go back to the village," Shadowhunter said softly after a brief silence. "C'mon, it'll be safer."
It would be. Stormchaser agreed silently, wiping her tears away.

*"What do you think Quickthought meant when she said that she wants to kill her mother?" Shadowhunter questioned on the way back.
"Wait- What-" Stormchaser didn't know what she was talking about. Why would Shadowhunter just bring that of all things up out of the blue.
"You said that she wants to kill you and her mother," Shadowhunter replied with a puzzled look upon her face.
'Don't worry, once we kill my mother and her, no one will be able to defy us!' Stormchaser remembered what her mother had really said with a jolt. She had been so frantic to escape form her family that she had forgotten.
"My Grandmother!" Stormchaser felt her eyes widen in fear and worry. "My Grandmother's in danger as well!"
"Your Grandmother?" Shadowhunter gasped. "We need to warn her then! Where is she? Who is she? Stormchaser, THIS IS SERIOUS!"
"Oh no," the words slipped out as she realised:
"I don't know who she is," Stormchaser gazed down at the village below them.
Well that will be a lot of help! whispered a voice inside her.
"This is fine," Shadowhunter sang, suddenly loosing her balance and looking as if she hadn't slept in days. "This is fine, This is FINE! This is TOTALLY FINE!" She took some deep breathes and quickly steadied herself as they flew down.
They landed on a large platform. A long bridge stretched out ahead of them, the sides were laced with what seemed like a rainbow of flowers and a the far end stood a magnificent pavilion made of weaving vines and blossoms, and large ferns acted as a roof. As they wandered closer, Stormchaser noticed the tiny, pale flowers that hung from the top of the entrance. Stormchaser went to step inside, but a sharp talon rested on her shoulder, stopping her from going further.
"Wait," Shadowhunter hesitated, her ears dropped as if she was embarrassed. "Maybe- maybe we should talk to Rainstar first."
Has she had a argument with the queen?
"Why?" Stormchaser inquired. "We- we're right here."
"Rainstar will help us more. She's really smart, perfect for the situation- she always seems to know what to do." Shadowhunter replied.
"Wouldn't the queen have more experience with this sort of stuff?"
"No, nonono," Shadowhunter answered. "First of all, we RainWings don't usually have to deal with murderous mothers. Second, Rainstar knows what to do. She usually does, anyways."
