CHAPTER #2

"I was so scared" isra said. Rafiq was just sitting on his bed beside isra and looking at her "you aren't saying anything"

There was a complete blank look on rafiq's face.
"is there something wrong dear?" isra couldn't think of a reason why someone wouldn't be happy that day. Her husband came back to home, alive and healthy and that was all she wanted

"I feel weak, I have no strength left in me"

"what do you mean?" isra was puzzled at his statement

"I don't feel like before and once you've got an attack, it's enough to tell you that you aren't strong enough" he slowly looked up at isra, controlling his tears.
"I want to be alive for only you and johi, who else do I have?"

"oh you are getting emotional for nothing dear, you are all fine"

Rafiq could just sigh
"hope so"

After that attack, rafiq had no guarantee of his life. He feared not for his life, but for his family. His only best friend, asad, lived abroad in USA with his family.
They could only meet in the vacations.

Life completely changed after that attack.
'this is the time, I don't know when I'll be gone' rafiq thought to himself and came up to a decision

It was a nice evening. Johara was having a nap and the couple sat in the lawn, enjoying tea.

"isra?" rafiq called out to his wife

"yes?"

"isn't the weather too good today?"

"definitely it is"

Rafiq was preparing himself to do a big talk.
"there's something I need to tell you"

"yes?" isra asked with curiosity, slurping her tea

"I think we should make johi's alliance now itself, I mean, fix an alliance you know" rafiq was sweating "like the one whom johi would marry in the future"

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?" isra yelled out of shock "JOHI IS JUST 5!"

"no no no no no, you are taking it completely wrong"

"what else is it supposed to mean?" isra was quite angry now.

"obviously our daughter is little and there's a lot of time for her to attain her age" rafiq started explaining the point to his wife while isra listened with full ears "I don't know what will happen to me and when.."

"oh dear you started it again!?" isra interrupted in between his talk with irritation

"listen to me first!"

"hmm mm" isra responded

"I know our daughter is little and we don't know about the future so I say that we just make an alliance of her with a suitable person who can be great partner for her"
