CHAPTER #3

"umm...I" rafiq couldn't understand how to start the conversation. Both, asad and maryam were waiting for him with the fullest concentration.

"before I say anything, I want you both to be patient and ready to listen and understand me"

"yes we are bhai, please do say" maryam insisted.

"I am growing uncertain about the future more and more each and every day and it's the truth that we all are going to leave this world one day. I fear for my famil.."

Rafiq hadn't finished that asad interrupted "why do you think you are going to die? We are always there for YOU and your family"

"that's not the thing" rafiq said "I believe that I should tie my daughter in an alliance before anything happens to anyone of us and I know she is still a little girl but she'll be grown in a flash of second and we won't even know"

Rafiq's eyes were almost teary while the couple was in shock

"bhai but you can't make a girl's alliance without her wish, will and permission" maryam stated

"I know" rafiq replied "she will be in the alliance of such person whom she already knows and I am sure my daughter will be humble and mature enough to understand and accept what her parents think is right for her... I know she will"

"and who will be that?" asad asked

"if I have your's and bhabhi's (maryam) will and permission, I would like to put forward the alliance of johara and idrees"

Isra came down with the file and pen and  she was sitting beside her husband while asad and maryam just looked at each other, their jaws dropped

"it's only of you agree with this" isra stressed "this won't happen without your agreement"

"we.. Hehe.. We think of johara as our own daughter" asad was speaking now "we would love to have her as our daughter in law but this is too early I feel.. Idrees is just 7 and johara is still 5"

"that's what I said" rafiq replied "this is just going to be an alliance and an agreement between us. No one will be going to know about this. Even the children until they attain their age of marriage" isra looked at rafiq as he spoke "we care for our children and I felt that doing this would spare us from lots of tensions and troubles. Idrees is my boy also and we won't be treating them in anyway that they feel something has happened regarding them"

"I am sure Allah will show us the proper and correct way now and in the future Inshallah" isra concluded

Asad and Maryam looked convinced and they were actually convinced by what rafiq had to tell them.

"we accept this decision of yours" asad said which brought a huge smile on rafiq's face. Maryam smiled and got up to hug isra.

Rafiq took the file and pen from isra and handed over to asad.
He opened the file, read and let maryam also read it.
After they were done reading, both asad and maryam signed at their respective places on the paper.

There was joy everywhere. The children were also with the adults playing and squealing all over. They were going to have dinner together. This was the best night rafiq ever lived.

"i feel so relaxed" rafiq said

"yeah" isra said

"may Allah always keep them happy"

"Ameen, they are really good people. It's enough for me that you are content and happy now" isra smiled.
Rafiq kissed her on her forehead and soon they slept, they were already so tired from the day

This chapter is going to be short one because I wanted to highlight the main big talk of this story so I just kept that segment in this chapter.
I promise that the further chapters will be longer and more interesting one.
