My hopeful eyes watched you dig into the ground

What color flower are we going to plant

When you bound my arms behind my back

Did you mean to hold my hand

Was I the flower you meant to abandon

Was I watching you dig out my grave

Because I was a color that you didn't want

No matter how much of my life I gave

You left me to grow alone

And then you stole my winter

Didn't you know a flower on its own

By time will wither

Then when I fall asleep

Go back to my home underground

Why do you try to save me

When there's no point in pulling me out
