Chapter 2

The next day, I drove Miles to school and he walked me to class.

I got my work done, but still couldn't stop thinking about what had happened between me and Miles yesterday.

Soon enough it was the first break and I headed outside to our group's normal meeting spot.

When Miles and I hugged the group gave us a look, so we explained to them that we were dating.

After about 5 minutes a gunshot rang out.

I ducked and up on the roof I could see a HNS member, he was crouching with a gun in his arm.

"Get off the deck!" I yelled as people began to pick their bags and head inside.

"Celine !" Miles yelled "hurry up", I ignored him and stood there looking at the man on the roof.

He fired again, it shot directly towards me so using my bullet proof bracelet I covered my face and sent the bullet in another direction.

He kept shooting so I used the same technique to get rid of the bullets, then I did a front flip and kicked the bullet back towards the HNS member, it hit him in the chest.

He then just disappeared, not a trace left.

I heard footsteps behind me, I turned around and Miles embraced me in a tight and worried hug.

"What the f*** was that!" he asked, "It-" I was cut off by the sound of my phone ringing, "hold a minute" I said.

I answered the phone "Hello?" I asked, "it's Maria" came a voice, "oh I thought this was some sort of creepy dude here to send me a message, how can I help?", "I need you at the training centre if that's okay" she said, "of course" I replied "I'll be there right away" and with that I hung up.

"I have to go" I said "I'll talk to you later" I kissed his cheek, picked up my bag and disappeared inside.

He stood there confused wondering what had just happened.

Turns out that after that 'little' incident the school went into a lockdown and parents who could, had to come collect their child, but I had already left.

I turned a corner and parked my car up a driveway.

Getting out of my car I went and knocked on the door, it was answered by Maria and when she saw me she let me in.

"You wanted me?" I said "yes" she said "I heard about that HNS member that was set out on your school" "okay and what about him?" I asked, "Well, did you get rid of him?" "I think so" I replied "what do you mean you think so?" she asked "well I deflected one of his bullets and sent it back towards him, it hit him in the chest, but then he just disappeared" I told her.

"How odd" she said "oh well, I suppose I'll see you tomorrow at 9:30am" she said, "okay, I'll see you then" I said as she bid me goodbye.

I managed to sneak home without alarming Miles (if he was even home).

I opened the door and went to my bedroom to change.
